Daisy Dalton Earns Miss Milk Bowl 2010

Berlin, VT – Harvest Hills Farm’s Daisy Dalton, an eight year old registered Ayreshire, has been selected as Miss Milk Bowl 2010. The Vermont beauty will be at the 48th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl at Thunder Road on Sunday, October 3 to deliver the victory kiss to one lucky driver.

Daisy, who comes from Scottish background, adds the Miss Milk Bowl title to her “Queen of 2010 Enosburg Dairy Festival” and “Political Puller” at the 2010 Annual Barre Farm Show crowns. Anne Burke, owner of Harvest Hills Farm in Berlin, VT says, “Daisy will serve her reign with pride and grace, and looks forward to meeting the lucky driver in victory lane at this year’s Milk Bowl.”

Joey Doiron Wins PASS North Series Rookie Of The Year

BERWICK, Maine — When the PASS North Series season rolled to an end last weekend at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, N.H., there was one celebration nobody witnessed in front of the main grandstands.

That celebration took place in a tiny corner of the tiny track’s sprawling pit area.

Joey Doiron completed his season as the series’ Rookie of the Year.

TWO TOP TEN FINISHES FOR MACDONALD AT NHMS

Eddie MacDonald and the Grimm Racing Team competed in three of the five
feature races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and their effort was rewarded
with a sixth place finish in the K&N Pro Series East and a fifth place run
in the ACT Invitational. The “experiment” in running a “spec” engine in the
Camping World Truck Series ended with a wrecked truck and scored in 30th
place.

The K&N Pro Series East race kicked off a busy weekend for the team with
MacDonald posting the fifth fastest speed in the practice and followed it up
with a fourth place run in qualifying. The Rowley, Mass driver maintained
the position early in the race then slipped back to ninth on lap 45 as the
car became tight. MacDonald restarted in second place on lap 51 after the
leaders pitted and held on to the spot until the caution on lap 74.

Ducharme Survives Unity for His First NEMST Win

The North East Mini Stock Tour made its debut at Maine’s Toughest Oval, Unity Raceway on Saturday night. Rhode Island native and tour veteran Roger Ducharme survived the caution filled event to bring home his first NEMST victory.

The heat races went off without a hitch with Tim Boyle and Zach Audet taking home the wins. 22 cars were in the pits for the main event of 50 laps. The action started off well with a lot of slicing and dicing for position. On lap 6 the first caution came out for a spin involving Greg Cummings and Keith Ogden. Throughout the next 30 laps the event would be slowed a few more times for minor spins. The show of the night was put on by NEMST defending champion Emerson Cayer who started dead last and climbed his way to the front not once, not twice, but three different times.

Tight Points Battle Highlights PASS South Return Trip to Hickory

CHARLOTTE, NC (September 19) – Following a history making event at the North Wilkesboro Speedway on Labor Day weekend the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models return to action Saturday, September 25th at the Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway for the fourth running of the Over The Mountain 150. With only two events left in the 2010 racing season, Ryan Blaney, Preston Peltier, and Andy Loden are separated by just sixteen points as the race for the championship heads to Hickory.

At 16 Blaney is the youngest of the three championship contenders, but don’t let his age fool you. After winning the 2009 PASS South Rookie-Of-The-Year Award, Blaney has stepped up his game, winning three races this season and has led more laps (249) than any other driver, good enough to top the PASS South points standings.

Joey Pole Claims Second Annual ACT Invitational

Loudon, NH – Hudson, New Hampshire’s Joey “Pole” Polewarczyk, Jr. took claimed the win in the Second Annual ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire. Pole worked his way through the field from the 27th starting position, taking advantage of a 58 lap green flag run, to lead the final eight laps of the 60 lap event.

Pole passed Jamie Fisher of Shelburne, Vermont while the two fought their way through heavy lap traffic. Wayne Helliwell, Jr. of Dover, New Hampshire, who wrapped up the Lee USA Speedway track championship in Lee, New Hampshire on Friday night, followed Pole through the hole for second. Fisher would hold onto third while Brian Hoar, who locked up the ACT Late Model Tour Championship last Sunday in the Fall Foliage 300, came home fourth. The Inaugural ACT Invitational Champion Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Massachusetts completed the top five.
