Austin Theriault: ACT Late Model Tour Oxford Plains Speedway Race Preview

Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, heads into the next stop on the ACT Late Model Tour — the ACT 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Saturday, June 19 — riding momentum. The ACT Rookie of the Year candidate posted a career-best finish of 9th last weekend at Lee USA Speedway, and he heads to a track he’s very familiar with. After making his ACT debut at Oxford Plains Speedway last year, he’s made exactly half of his four career series starts at the facility. He led several laps early in the race in May at Oxford en route to a 16th-place finish.

Joey Polewarczyk Jr.: ACT Late Model Tour Oxford Plains Speedway Race Preview

Joey Polewarczyk Jr. of Hudson, N.H., will be looking to make amends this weekend when the ACT Late Model Tour rolls into Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, for the ACT 150 on Saturday, June 19. This marks the second Oxford visit of the season for the series, and Polewarczyk is anxious to make the return. He failed to qualify for the ACT race at Oxford in May, despite owning two career wins at the facility. Sixth in the standings, Polewarczyk is trying to get Ford Racing its first win in the ACT Late Model Tour ranks.

PASS Celebrates Fathers Day with a Unity Triple Header

NAPLES ME (6/16) All three PASS North racing series are back on track this Sunday June 20 at Unity (ME) Raceway, a favorite stop for the Pro All Stars Series’ drivers and fans.

The speedway is a throwback to an earlier time when race tracks were a little rough around the edges. The covered grandstand from a bygone era remains and when drivers stray off the asphalt they can easily find themselves atop a sand bank or in a trackside ditch. But the racing surface, dips, bumps and all, breeds some of the best side by side racing you’ll find anywhere and hardcore race fans never miss a PASS appearance

Polewarczyk Teaming Up With Davis At New Hampshire

HUDSON, N.H. — Joey Polewarczyk Jr. is reuniting with the team that earned him his best career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East finish.

Polewarczyk will drive the No. 1 Pole’s Automotive Chevrolet for owner Dave Davis in the Heluva Good! Spring 125 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Friday, June 25. Practice and qualifying for the event takes place the day before.

Folsom claims checkered flag in top class at Unity Raceway

Unity, Maine – David Folsom I of Skowhegan broke a victory lane dry spell in come-from-behind style Saturday night in the headline 35-lap Late Model feature race at Unity Raceway.

 

While Folsom ran with the leaders throughout the event he at one point yielded the pacesetting position to reigning track champion Frank Moulton of Burnham. But Folsom was up to the task and the veteran competitor who first raced at Unity some three decades ago outgunned the young reigning king and drove to victory lane for well-deserved accolades.

LAPERLE TEAM FINED FOR VICTORY LANE ALTERCATION

LAPERLE AND THEETGE BOTH PLACED ON PROBATION

Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today that the Patrick Laperle team has received a fine for a post-race incident in victory lane following the 150-lap event held at the Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee Jonction, QC this past Saturday, June 12.

The disciplinary penalty resulted after Laperle, from Montreal, and Donald Theetge, from Quebec City, staged a furious battle for the win in the event which was postponed from the previous night due to an electrical black out. This necessitated running the race on Saturday at noon.
