BOND/WIX TIGER TOUR HEADS TO WHITE MOUNTAIN SATURDAY

Waterbury, VT – White Mountain Motorsport Park (WMMP) will open the Bond/Wix Tiger Tour this Saturday, June 05, 2010. The popular Bond Tiger Sportsman cars from throughout the region will begin their championship run in the first of four events for the 2010 race season.

“White Mountain was a natural for us to begin the 2010 campaign,” said Tom Curley, President of the American Canadian Tour, (ACT), which sanctions the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsman Division. “WMMP took a major step to bring the ACT rules for the Tiger Sportsman division to the track this season, and we want to do whatever we can to try and help get this division in a growth trend at WMMP. We have encouraged the Thunder Road Tiger teams to visit WMMP whenever they can in 2010.”

Championship to be settled at Seekonk

The North East Mini Stock Tour is pleased to announce with Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment that our tenth and championship crowning event will be held at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, MA on October 2nd. PASS South races at Ace Friday

The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South super late models make a Friday June 4 appearance at Altahmahaw North Carolina’s Ace Speedway, a fast 4/10 mile speed plant that will be hosting the stars and cars of PASS for the first time.

Ace should be considered a wild card in the race for the 2010 PASS South championship, joining North Wilkesboro Speedway as one of two tracks on the schedule where the series has yet to make an appearance.

Andy Loden PASS South winner at Concord

Andy Loden took advantage of a restart on lap 80 of Saturday night’s Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Old Glory 150 at Concord (NC) Speedway, passing Roger Lee Newton for a lead he would never give up to score his first PASS South super late model feature win. Ryan Blaney chased Loden to the checkers, with series point leader Preston Peltier third, Jimmy Weller fourth and John Stancill fifth.

Ryan Moore was fastest in Pro Photo Productions time trials with a lap of 15.726, nipping Preston Peltier (15.777) for fast time. Jimmy Weller (15.776), Justin Wakefield (15.810) Bobby Measmer (15.818) Roger Lee Newton (15.832), Brandon Ward (15.855) Loden (15.858) Blaney (15.890) and Kevin Love (15.948) timed in third through tenth in the 28 car field.

Pembroke Takes Second Straight Memorial Day Classic

Barre, VT – Montpelier’s Dave Pembroke earned his second straight Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic win at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Sunday, May 30. Pembroke started the race from the 14th spot and worked his way through traffic to take the lead on lap 68. Pembroke would hold the lead for the remainder of the race.

Granitevile’s John Donahue took the lead early in the event after starting on the outside pole. He led the majority of the first 60 laps while battling with Barre’s Nick Sweet, who spun on lap 46 while battling for the lead. Joey Becker also led several laps before Pembroke got by. Donahue would hold on for second, Eric Williams came from the 25th starting spot to claim third while Joey Laquerre and Rich Lowrey rounded out the top five.

NEMST at Canaan

The North East Mini Stock Tour opened its season Saturday under gloomy skies and uncertain weather conditions at Canaan Fair Speedway. There was a small shower as the pit gates opened but it quickly dispersed and led for some good practice for all of the NEMST teams. Jeff Prindall was the winner of the Tater’s NASCAR Merchandise $100 bonus for registered drivers.
