Race Basics and Bassett Renew ACT Contingency

Waterbury, VT – Race Basics Chassis and Bassett Racing Wheels have recently announced the renewals of their contingency programs with the American Canadian Tour (ACT) for the 2010 season. Both companies supported ACT teams competing on the U.S. based ACT Tour and the Quebec based Série ACT Castrol in 2009 and look forward to continuing their support in 2010.

Florida Trip Brings Rowe, Team Together

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Ben Rowe could have left Florida in a bad mood. Instead, he left encouraged.

A twice-wrecked race car during the 4-time PASS North Series champion’s first voyage with Mulkern Racing did cast a mild pall over the trip to New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway last week, but Rowe saw the silver lining.

We read with interest Brian France’s recent tete-a-tete with the Cup drivers regarding criticism of NASCAR. Brian told the assembly that criticism from the drivers is bad for NASCAR. JR took all this to heart and said that he was going to be very careful in the future. Now let’s just think about all of this. Consider if NASCAR was not taken to task about starting the races too late, the COT is a turkey and needs fixing, there’s a lack of competition and the presentation is bland, the ticket prices are not worth it, we would still have a status quo. So in the case of speaking out about what’s wrong in NASCAR, it has to be the reason that the organization decided to go back to square one on all of the items we talked about.

FORD RACING ANNOUNCES $35,000 CONTINGENCY FOR 2010 ACT TEAMS

Waterbury, VT – Ford Racing announced an aggressive $35,000 contingency plan for the American Canadian Tour (ACT) for the 2010 campaign. The contingency program, tailored to support those teams that have chosen to compete in 2010 with the Ford powered S347JR engine in any ACT affiliate track weekly events, as well as the touring programs under the ACT sanction, is the largest contingency plan offered in the 25-year history of ACT.
