FORD CRATE MOTOR ACCEPTED IN ACT RULES

  Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today that the Ford S347JR crate engine has been approved for competition starting immediately.

For the past eighteen months the engineers from Ford Racing in Dearborn, Michigan have been working in conjunction with ACT motor builders Butler & MacMaster of Hallowell, Maine on the research and development of a Ford crate engine that will be compatible with the GM ZZ4 crate engine.

CARQUEST Vermont Governor’s Cup

WATERBURY, VT – The 26th running of the CARQUEST Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 is expected to be viewed by the biggest crowd of the 2009 season and quite possibly the largest crowd in Thunder Road International Speedbowl history. Advanced tickets are currently on sale for the event featuring NASCAR Sprint Cup Star Tony Stewart.  There are still plenty of tickets still available.

PASS Mods kick off Twin State Series at Lee USA Friday

Naples ME  (June 2) The Pro All Stars Series  (PASS)  Mods will be featured this Friday night at Lee (NH) USA Speedway , round one of the Twin State PASS Modified Series that will see the  fast economical open wheelers  at Lee USA on several occasions throughout the 2009 season.

MACDONALD MUSCLES NINTH PLACE FINISH AT SOUTH

   Eddie MacDonald's ninth place run at South Boston (Va.) Speedway in the
Camping World Series East race resembled a return in time to the historic
track. When the power steering pump quit early in the event, MacDonald was
forced to provide his own power to get the car to turn on the 4/10ths of a
mile oval, as did the legendary drivers in the early years of the speedway

Peltier paces PASS South SLMs, King earns first PASS LM Truck win

NAPLES ME ( June 1 ) Preston Peltier earned his second Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South super late model win of 2009 Saturday night in the “Salute our Heroes” 150 at Jacksonville North Carolina’s Coastal Plains Speedway. Corey Williams came back through the pack after a flat tire to finish second and Justin Wakefield continued to get his season back on track, finishing third.2008 PASS National Championship runner-up John Stancill made his first PASS start of 2009, finishing fourth; Jay Fogleman completed the top five.

Moffitt Scores Record Setting Win At South Boston Speedway

South Boston, VA (May 31, 2009): Brett Moffitt isn’t wasting any time in declaring his talent behind the wheel of a NASCAR Camping World Series East racecar. Saturday night, the quiet-mannered driver spoke volumes when he took the lead for the third and final time from Ryan Truex at South Boston Speedway to become the series youngest winner in history. At 16 years, nine months, and 23 days old, Moffitt beat out Joey Logano’s record, which was set a month shy of his 17th birthday when he won the 2007 season opener.
