PASS South Orange Blossom Special Attracting Many Names

Race Will Serve as a Tune-Up for PASS National SLM Event at OCS on July 18-19

NAPLES, ME (June 4, 2008) – This is one of the biggest prep weeks for the Pro All Stars Series Super Late Models.  Saturday’s 3rd Annual Orange Blossom Special at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, NC is a regularly scheduled event on the PASS South Tour.  However, many teams will be using this 150-lap extravaganza as a tune-up for round two on the PASS National Super Late Model Tour, which will also be held at Orange County Speedway, just a month later, on July 18th & 19th.

?Blood Drive Donors Admitted Free at Lee Speedway Friday Night?

Lee, NH – (June 2, 2008) — Race fans who donate blood at the American Red Cross Blood Drive Friday, June 6, at Lee USA Speedway, will be admitted free of charge for  the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race program. “It’s our way of saying thanks for supporting this very needy cause,” said Judy MacDonald, owner of Lee USA Speedway. Fans donate and we show our thanks for their support by welcoming them to a night of local short track racing. We’re happy the Red Cross will join us again.”

NAPA Tiger Sportsmen ?All Good? at Thunder Road

       BARRE, VT – A change has begun at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl.  Stock car racing is a 49 year-old tradition at the Quarry Hill oval, and one of its benchmarks has been the NAPA Tiger Sportsman division – an intermediate, budget-minded class utilizing stock chassis and V8 power.  Over 35 Sportsman cars are expected on Ferguson Waterworks Night, Thursday, June 12 at 6:30pm at “The Nation’s Site of Excitement,” to continue producing some of the closest racing of the season.

Jason Hogan readies for first PASS South start of ?08 Season

Cleveland GA (June 4, 2008) If you would have asked Jason Hogan on Monday what he had planned for this weekend, he would have more than likely said hanging out on the lake somewhere or working around the shop. Instead Hogan and his Jason Hogan Motorsports team made the decision early Tuesday morning to plan a trip to Rougemont, North Carolina to attempt their first Pro All Stars Series (PASS) start of the ’08 season at the Orange County Speedway in the Orange Blossom Special.

The American-Canadian Tour Late Models return to the southernmost race track in New England, Connecticut’s Waterford Speedbowl, with Saturday’s Nutmeg State 100.  In two previous appearances at the racy 3/8-mile, Brent Dragon and “Rocket” Roger Brown were the victors.  Brown’s victory came in 2004, the last visit to the shoreline speedplant.
