Lee USA Speedway Champion Baril to Take on ACT Invaders

      LEE, NH – Lee USA Speedway Late Model stock car champion J.R. Baril will defend his home turf against the invading stars of the American-Canadian Tour as he attempts to break into the ACT win column at Sunday’s New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 200.  The Haverhill, MA driver has won the last two Track Championships at the 3/8-mile seacoast oval, and is among the leading candidates to snap the five-year undefeated victory streak by ACT racers at the facility.

The 2008 American-Canadian Tour Championship season opens this Sunday at Lee USA Speedway with the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 200 – the first of two doubleheader events for the ACT Late Model Tour and the open-wheel True Value Modified Racing Series this year.  Thirty-six official entries have been received at the ACT office to date, and as many as 50 total Late Model teams are expected to try their hand.

            Concord, NC (April 14, 2008): In 2007, Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) made a lasting impact on the newly-named NASCAR Camping World Series East when their driver Jamie Hayes finished eighth in the championship standings. This season, Hayes is no longer a rookie, and the team has expanded to a two-car operation with driver Ricky Carmichael. Both have their eye on success, and are optimistic for a strong start at the historic Greenville-Pickens Speedway this Saturday night.

            Uncasville, CT (April 14, 2008): Matt Kobyluck began the 2008 season with an annual appearance in the NASCAR Camping World Series West race at Phoenix International Raceway last week with a tenth place finish. This week, the Mohegan Sun Casino race team is anxious to begin a bid for the NASCAR Camping World Series East title at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. If Phoenix was any indication, luck will be on Kobyluck’s side.

Busch Enters Haase in PASS North opener

Newest Drivers of Staples Motorsports

(Apr. 13th, 2008) The  PASS Modified Series Champion Chris Staples, announces the newest members of Staples Motorsports, Chris Staples Jr. and Owen Poisson will be competing in the 2008 Kart Racing Series Friday nights starting May 2nd at the Oxford Plains Speedway.   Chris Jr. and Owen will be competing every week and are seeking race sponsors, for the season.
