Veterans Share Excitement With Youth For Chance To Race At Richmond
NAPLES, ME (October 10) – While some of the best young drivers in North America are excited for the opportunity to race at Richmond Raceway as part of the inaugural PASS Commonwealth Classic on Saturday, October 20, veterans share that same since of anticipation. Grassroots racing greats like Rowe, Nasse, Fogleman, Laperle, Coby, Bonsignore, McCaskill, and Locklair are synonymous with winning in their respective disciplines of grassroots racing, but each will be making their first starts at Richmond. As a matter of fact of fact, only a handful of drivers competing in the PASS Commonwealth Classic, among those, Tour-Type Modified stalwart, Jamie Tomaino, have ever had the chance to race there.

ACT Title Comes Down to World Series at Thompson
Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) is ready to crown its 2018 champion. The title will be decided this Saturday, October 13 at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway as part of the 56th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing. With a full slate of Thompson Late Model standouts and regional stars expected to take on the ACT Late Model Tour’s best in the World Series 75, the season finale could get dicey for the top contenders.

Busy Weekend Set For Oxford Plains Begins With PASS North & PASS Mods

Barker Steels the show at Oktoberfest!
WALPOLE, NH.
After a three and a half hour rain delay paired with a race length adjustment to 75 laps, Brandon Barker of Berwick, ME prevailed. Starting seventh on the field Barker made his way up through eventually battling with pole sitter Mike O’Sullivan of Springfield, MA. “O’Sullivan is a good racer, I’ve watched these guys enough to know who you can race with” Barker said. “We beat and banged a bit, nobody crashed and it was fun.”

Barre, VT – Jason Corliss made out like a bandit at Barre’s Thunder Road Speedbowl on Sunday, September 30 to win the 56th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. The hometown racer dove underneath Hinesburg’s Bobby Therrien entering the final corner of the final lap, edging him out at the line to steal the victory in the “Toughest Short Track Race in North America”.
With the laps winding down in the third and final 50-lap segment, Therrien sat in fifth on the track with Corliss right behind him in sixth. The two entered the segment tied for the overall lead, and after closest challenger Cody Blake was eliminated in a hard frontstretch crash on lap 30 that also collected Trampas Demers, it would come down to which driver – Corliss or Therrien – finished better in the segment.

Nick Sweet prevails in Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model thriller at Thunder Road
Barre, Vermont – Hometown stock car racer Nick Sweet nailed down his first Super Late Model race win on Friday night, holding off Quebec competitor and fellow former Milk Bowl winner Patrick Laperle in an outstanding 150-lap Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model main event, highlighting Northfield Savings Bank Night Before The Milk Bowl action at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont.
