Sterling Marlin leads latest batch of early entries for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro

NAPLES ME ( 11/24) Two time Daytona 500 winner Sterling Marlin has filed his  early entry for THE RACE at North Wilkesboro. Slated for April 9, 2011, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) sanctioned race at North Wilkesboro Speedway will pay a minimum of $75,000.00 to the winner.

 

Marlin has  ten Sprint Cup and 2 Nationwide Series wins under his belt but early in his career he captured three consecutive championships at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, a storied short track that has produced so many  racing talents. He has plenty of experience at North Wilkesboro too, with a number of top ten results during his cup career.

Advance tickets for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro on sale now

NAPLES ME (11/18) Advance sale tickets for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro are now available.

The April 9 2011 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Sanctioned super late model race carries a purse in excess of $155,000.00 with a minimum of $75,000.00 to the winner of the 300 lap battle royal. Drivers eligible for the PASS loyalty bonuses could walk away with a $100,000.00 pay day, more than Jeff Gordon earned when he won the last major league event at the storied speedway.

Sixteen 2011 races for PASS North super late models

Naples ME (11/19) Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry has released a sixteen race 2011 schedule for the popular touring super late models.

“I’m exceptionally happy with our 2011 PASS North super late model schedule, “said Mayberry in making the announcement. “It’s the best schedule we’ve been able to assemble in the series’ eleven year history; I think 2011will prove to be a banner year for PASS North.”

PASS North Champion files first entry for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro

NAPLES ME (11/17) Entry forms are already rolling in for the Pro All Stars Series 2011 mega-event, THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway, and it’s a diverse group of PASS regulars that filed the first ten.

The first wave of entry blanks were mailed to 2010 PASS super late model license holders and five time PASS North super late model Champion Johnny Clark was the first to commit to the short track world’s richest super late model event. Clark’s never raced on the iconic ¾ mile speedway but he will take advantage of the two days of practice leading up to the April 9th 300 lapper.He’s competitive whenever he hits the track but he has demonstrated a knack for checkering the big money shows. Clark has to be considered one of the early favorites in what promises to be a strong field.

Entry blank and race info for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro online now

NAPLES ME (11/16) Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry has released the entry blank for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway, along with a comprehensive schedule and pertinent information for the unprecedented super late model showdown set for April 7-9 2011 at North Wilkesboro Speedway. The 300 lap event will carry a purse of $153,920.00 with a minimum of $75,000.00 to the event’s winner. In addition there’s nearly $45,000.00 in PASS loyalty bonuses available to PASS North and South teams that meet the criteria, including a whopping $25,000.00 bonus that could easily be claimed by the race winner.

Smith Confident About Drive for Diversity

Waterbury, VT – Randolph’s Dylan Smith recently returned from his second NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Virginia. The 18 year-old Thunder Road Late Model competitor spent three days last week (Oct. 17-19) trying out for the Revolution Racing team that competes in the NASCAR K&N Pro East Series and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.

Smith was one of 35 drivers selected from over 200 applicants to attend the seventh annual Drive for Diversity Combine. It was the second year in a row he’s attended the combine, which evaluates up and coming drivers on driving ability, personality, physical fitness and marketability, among other things. The three days of testing included iRacing simulator races, weight and fitness training, as well as media exercises and on-track testing.
