PASS North Prepares For TD Bank 250 Tune Up This Weekend At Oxford

PASS NorthNAPLES, ME (July 9) – After nearly two months off due to rainouts, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models were finally able to get back on track during the Fourth Of July weekend holiday at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Now, focus shifts to two big weekends of racing at Maine’s legendary Oxford Plains Speedway. This Friday night, the PASS North Super Late Models hit the track at Oxford for race number 5 of the 2013 season. In addition to being a make-up race for the rained out events at White Mountain Motorsports Park and Speedway 660, this weekend’s 150 lapper will serve as a major tune up for the 40th Annual TD Bank 250 to be held at Oxford Plains Speedway just over a week from now.

PASS North teams will not only be trying to focus on Friday’s nights race and the implications it holds towards this year’s championship battle, but will also start formulating strategies for the TD Bank 250. Beech Ridge winner Cassius Clark comes to Oxford as the only two-time PASS North winner in 2013 and knows a good run on Friday night can set a team up as the favorite heading to next weekend’s $25,000 to win TD Bank 250.

Shaw Finishes Seventh at Beech Ridge

DJ1 Scarborough, ME – Even with rainouts postponing a number of the races in the Pro All Stars Series North, DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM team haven’t let that keep them from the track. After two wins in two races in weekly competition, Shaw and the team were riding on positive momentum going into round four of the PASS North tour at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Shaw grabbed his first win of the season in the last PASS race at the Scarborough track, and took the win a week ago in the Nascar Whelen All-American Series “Pro Series 100.”

After a quick rainstorm earlier in the day to keep the theme of the season going, Shaw drove to a fourth place finish in his heat race. This would give Shaw a 12th place starting position for the 150 lap feature event.

1000-DSC_8255 Scarborough, ME – After several rain outs, Joey Doiron and the #73 Wild Willy Burger’s team was back in action this past weekend at their home track of Beech Ridge Motor Speedway for the fourth event of the Pro All Stars Series North. Doiron and the team have been stellar at the 3/8th mile track recently, finishing in the top five in three of their last four starts at the track. They continued that streak with a strong fourth place effort on Saturday night.

“We finished about where we should’ve tonight,” Doiron explained after the race, “We battled a tight racecar all night and kept getting pinned on the bottom on each restart, we used up our right front just trying to keep our track position, but I’m glad we were able to get another strong run to keep the momentum going.”
