SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, finished 20th in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 8. Babb, the reigning NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion at the track, joined a host of other contenders in being collected in a multi-car incident on a Lap 2 restart that ended his night early in the No. 4 Babb Wood Contractors/McGoldrick Bros. Blasting Chevrolet. After a spin in qualifying, Babb started 16th in the main event but never completed a complete lap at speed before the accident.

Ripley Secures Second Win at Wiscasset Speedway

Despite some early morning rain, Wiscasset Speedway was ready to roll at race time. Under the bright lights, and to the chorus of peepers in the infield, the cars hit the track in three exciting feature events and a spectator drag.
First up was the spectator drag flex race of the week. The drags ultimately saw Wayne Ambrose driving a Chevy El Camino face off again a Chevy truck driven by George Fortin. Fortin ultimately took the win in a close race.

Pro All Stars Series To Race At Oxford Plains Speedway Sunday, June 23

PASS RacingWith the postponement of two races back to back the PASS North tour has added an event at Oxford Plains Speedway, Sunday, June 23, with heats at 4 and features to follow. The OPS regular divisions will run, the Outlaw Sportsman, Strictly and Minis for OPS points, along with the PASS Mods being added to the show. It is expected that many of the OPS weekly Pro Late Models, who will run their weekly event Friday June 21, will try their luck against the top touring drivers in the Northeast as this will be the final tune up for the PASS Super Late Models before the TD Bank 250 on July 21st. Expect a full field of drivers to be at OPS on June 23rd to fine tune their cars for the TD Bank 250.

Second Oxford Plains Speedway Pro Late Model win for Dale Shaw

Oxford, Maine — Dale Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire became the first repeat winner in the upgraded Pro Late Model division’s 40-lap feature race on Sunday at Oxford Plains Speedway, driving a Precision JLM-sponsored machine of his own creation.

Shaw, a former champion of the old NASCAR Busch North Series that defined the regional short track scene at the time, put the hammer down early to stay in front of chief rivals Shawn Martin of Turner and TJ Brackett of Buckfield en route to an early lead that proved to be insurmountable.
