NAPLES, ME (July 26) – For the only time in 2019, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models and PASS Modifieds will have their lone mid-week show of the year this coming Tuesday night at Star Speedway in Epping, NH. The special 200-lapper will be the penultimate race of the “Road To The Oxford 250” program which offers top finishers a guaranteed spot for the biggest Super Late Model race in the country coming up at Oxford Plains in late August.

A special weekend is approaching for Wiscasset Speedway, a weekend that has been 50 years in the making. The track will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of its opening with a pair of special events July 27th & 28th. The track, which was built by Wiscasset entrepreneur Wilford Cronk, held its first race on Sunday, July 27, 1969, and from that day forward has enjoyed the distinction of being Maine’s fastest track. The track has seen many changes over the years, including name changes to Lincoln County Speedway, Superior Speedway, and Wiscasset Raceway. The track is currently owned and operated by Richard & Vanessa Jordan, who changed the name back to its original Wiscasset Speedway. Many of the states most accomplished racers have turned laps around Wiscasset’s high banks and added it to their Hall of Fame resume’s (Stan Messerve, Mike Rowe, Ralph Nason, Dave Darveau, Bob Hallee, Ricky Craven, and more).

Curtis Gerry scores another PASS Super Late Model victory at Oxford Plains Speedway
Oxford, Maine – Curtis Gerry of Waterboro, Maine is a hard man to beat when he gets his Super Late Model dialed in at Oxford, and he scored his first points-counting Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model race of the season Sunday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Gerry, who has three race wins in Saturday night Budweiser Championship Series Super Late Model competition this year at Oxford, also won last Sunday’s PASS Open 100-lapper and has five Super Late Model triumphs to his credit this season at the historic Route 26 oval track.
Calvin Rose outruns Super Late Model field at Oxford Plains Speedway
Oxford, ME – Calvin Rose, Jr. of Turner raced to his first Super Late Model win of the season Saturday night in Budweiser Championship Series stock car racing action at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Rose, a former champion in the second-tier Street Stock class, took the lead away from four-time track champion Timmy Brackett of Buckfield about a quarter of the way through the 50-lap, caution-free race, then stayed in front of fast-closing Curtis Gerry of Waterboro.
