St-Croix, QC – Dany Trepanier of St-Edouard, Quebec claimed the overall Série ACT win in front of his hometown crowd at Circuit Riverside Speedway on Saturday, July 13. Trepanier used a win and a 4th in the twin 75-lap segments to earn the overall win with a score of 5. He bested current Série ACT point leader Donald Theetge, while Jean-François Déry completed the podium.
Trepanier claimed the win in the first segment of the event after starting on the pole. He held off Patrick Cliche and Donald Theetge through six restarts in segment one. He then climbed his way from 12th in the second segment to finish 4th and claim the overall win. The second segment also saw six caution periods.

Nine drivers break old Cup qualifying record; Keselowski on pole
LOUDON, N.H. (July 12, 2013) – It was a record-breaking afternoon at the Magic Mile. Brad Keselowski zipped around the 1.058-mile oval at 135.922 miles per hour (28.022 seconds), setting a new track qualifying record in the process. It was the second career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career pole at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and the first of the season for the defending Sprint Cup Series champion.
“We have a great race car here, and our race team is ready to hit its stride for the season,” said Keselowski, who enters Sunday’s Camping World RV Sales 301 13th in points. “We are hungry, we feel we can do it, but I don’t feel a sense of panic.”

Foust’s gaffe on final turn hands Fin second straight GRC win
LOUDON, N.H. (July 11, 2012) – Tanner Foust looked invincible. For nine laps Finnish teammates Toomas Heikkenen and Patrik Sandell tried to chase down Foust as he seamlessly navigated the dirt, jumps and chicanes. Then, out of nowhere, Foust showed he was human after all. Catching his right tire in the gravel as he entered the final elevated hairpin turn, Foust slid hard into the barrier, and Heikkenen shot past to win the SYLVANIA SilverStar zXe Global RallyCross Championship at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
“The rains and weather from earlier made the course difficult for everyone,” said Heikkenen, who picked up his second straight GRC win. “Tanner made a little mistake there – I didn’t expect that mistake from him. It was good to get the win, I will take it.”

LOUDON, N.H. (July 10, 2013) – New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials announced today that NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers Austin Dillon and Sam Hornish Jr. will sit down with Mark and 2K of WOKQ’s “Morning Waking Crew” during the annual free WOKQ FanFest on Thursday, July 11 at 7:45 p.m.
Dillon leads the NASCAR Nationwide Series with six poles and sits fifth in the standings. Hornish Jr. has a win, a series-high 12 top-10s and is positioned second in points. Not only will the two be in competition for the trophy in Saturday’s CNBC Prime’s “The Profit” 200, but they make up half of the eligible drivers for the NASCAR Nationwide Series “Dash 4 Cash,” a bonus program that awards four qualified pilots $100,000 to the highest finisher among those four drivers at the Magic Mile.

Waterbury, VT – Patrick Laperle from St. Denis, QC has confirmed his entry in the American Canadian Tour (ACT) 500 event scheduled for Sunday, July 21 at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY.
Laperle is a 4 time ACT Champion, with titles in the Serie ACT in 2007, 2011 and 2012. Laperle also won the US ACT title in 2008.
“My team is coming to Plattsburgh to win the $25,000.00 dollar first prize,” said Laperle. Laperle credited his legion of Quebec fans in helping the 91QC team’s decision to race in the International 500.

Lee, NH – The Lee USA Speedway Prime Storage and Warehouse Late Model Sportsmen took center stage on Friday night for the running of the annual Firecracker 100, an extra-distance, extra-payoff race, with a mandatory pit stop getting crews involved in determining the final outcome.
Two-time 2013 feature winner Geoff Rollins took advantage of a front row start and jumped out to the lead early, and he stayed there over the first half of the race, with former champion Ryan Green holding down the second spot as the field reached the crossed flags.
