Epping, NH – Defending Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model champion Travis Benjamin of Belfast, Maine nailed down his first race victory of the season, prevailing in a close battle versus Reid Lanpher to earn top honors in Saturday night’s Support 50 Legs 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire.
Benjamin’s paint-swapping battle with Lanpher was just the final entertaining duel on the racy quarter-mile oval for the lead. The Weirs GMC-sponsored racer turned back other challengers during the 150-lapper, most notably from Johnny Clark and Joe Squeglia, Jr.

Barre, VT – After multiple delays due to the effects of a long, snowy Northeast winter, both Thunder Road Speedbowl and the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) are ready to finally drop the green flag on the 2018 season. The 20th Community Bank N.A. 150 will go to post this Sunday, May 6 to kick off the 59th season at Thunder Road and the 33rd year for ACT racing.
Both the track and series spent much of April waiting out lingering snow, water, and mud throughout the region. But better conditions have finally arrived over the past week with a promising weekend forecast in store. All the while, the excitement has continued to build for one of the biggest events of the year.
Walpole NH – The 2018 GSPSS presented by Springfield Buick GMC will have to wait one more day to kick off the 2018 race season. Claremont Speedway Owner Jim Ambrose and GSPSS president Mike Parks have decided that with the incoming showers and Thunder storms through out the afternoon and evening it just didn’t make sense to make the fans and competitors battle the weather today. Parks stated “We have a built in rain-date for tomorrow May 5th and the weather looks great so that is what we are going to do”. The race day schedule will be 100% the same as what was in place for Friday, Pit gates for GSPSS (only) Opens at 1:30pm with practice at 4:30 and heats hitting the track promptly at 7:00pm.
