Defending champion to start out front in Saturday’s Town Fair Tire 100
LOUDON, N.H. (July 13, 2012) – Ronnie Silk took the pole and the checkers the last time the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour was at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He’ll try to do the same this weekend after taking the pole in Friday’s qualifying for the Town Fair Tire 100 on Saturday.
Silk’s time of 29.492 seconds (129.147 mph) was nearly fourth-tenths of a second faster than Ryan Preece, who will start on the outside of Row 1 on Saturday. Doug Coby, Eric Berndt and Sprint Cup regular Ryan Newman round out the top five qualifiers.

Thompson CT (7/12) Derek Ramstrom inherited the race lead on lap 62 of Thursday night’s Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North California Paints 75 at Thompson (CT.) International Speedway and the home track hero kept DJ Shaw and Travis Benjamin in his mirror to the checkers. Thompson regular Mike O’Sullivan raced home fourth and Cassius Clark survived a wild ride down the front stretch to finish fifth.

Historic Winnings Posted for Marquee Race
Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials have announced that the 50th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl on Sunday, September 30th, will boast winnings exceeding $100,000 for competitors at “The Nation’s Site of Excitement.” It is the highest purse ever posted for the event deemed the “Toughest Short Track Race in America”.

Badore, Whitcomb Bounce Back for Feature Victories
Barre, VT – Barre’s hometown hero Nick Sweet continued a dominating 2012 with a dazzling victory in the Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 presented by the VT Lottery Commission at Thunder Road on Thursday (July 12). Sweet was hounded by defending Champion Dave Pembroke, and perennial front runner Scott Payea picked up third place. Young sensation Cody Blake crossed the line fourth, with 2011 Governor’s Cup winner John Donahue rounding out the top five.

This past weekend Austin Teras hit the Trifecta as he won three different races, at 3 different tracks, on three different days. “It was fun and amazing! It was a great opportunity. It was difficult because I raced 3 different karts. It was also very hot! I had to drink a lot of water and Gatorade!”
On Friday night Austin to the checkered flag at Oxford Plains Speedway, Saturday he raced at Thundering Valley where he took home win number 2. Then on Sunday he completed the trifecta with his win at Richmond Karting Speedway. As Austin explains the 3 different race tracks are complete different from one another, “Oxford track is very small and bumpy, Thundering Valley is big and very flat, and Richmond is fast and smooth, These 3 tracks have nothing in common.”

Governor’s Cup Winner Will Gain Invite To ACT Invitational
Barre, VT –Thunder Road officials have announced that the winner of the Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 sponsored by the VT State Lottery Commission on this Thursday, July 12, will also earn an invite to the Bond Auto ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 22. Thunder Road’s marquee race of the summer will feature the top talent from Thunder Road, and the Vermont State Championship Series, all coming to town to claim the Vermont Governor’s Cup to be presented by Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin.
