LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 19, 2011) – Wrigley Field in Chicago has it’s beloved “Bleacher Bums,” the Cleveland Browns have their passionate “Dawg Pound,” Duke University’s basketball team has its “Cameron Crazies” and now New Hampshire Motor Speedway has the “Moose Head Maniacs.”
Recognizing the passion of NASCAR fans here at “The Magic Mile,” speedway officials announced today that they have designated a special section of seating in turns three and four to create a wicked fun fan zone for the “Moose Heads.”

St-Eustache, QC – Patrick Laperle of St-Denis, QC held off a hard charging Karl Allard over the final 10 laps of the Série ACT Castrol St-Eustache 300 at Autodrome St-Eustache on Sunday, September 18. Laperle led for the majority of the event and unofficially locks up the 2011 Série ACT Castrol title.
Laperle started in the eleventh position and worked his way to the front with the help of seven cautions by lap 79. He would lead the next 98 circuits before pitting out of the lead for tires and fuel on lap 176. With fresh tires it took him just 35 laps to work his way back to the point.

Groveton, NH – Bradford, VT’s Derrick O’Donnell strengthened his ACT Bond/WIX Tiger Tour point lead with a win in the Johnny Clark Memorial 101 at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, NH on Saturday, September 17. O’Donnell came from the eighth starting position and took the lead after Joe Steffen suffered a flat tire on the final restart of the event.
Steffen lead early before giving up the lead to Bobby Therrien on the first restart of the event. Therrien would lead the next seven laps before pitting during the second caution of the day handing the lead back to Steffen. Steffen held the lead until a flat tire while coming to the green during the final restart. (more…)

THE STORY
Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, looks for more success at his home track when the PASS North Series heads to its longest event of the season – the PASS 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Sunday, September 18. Doiron collected his first career Super Late Model victory in a 40-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in August, and he’s coming off a Top-10 finish at White Mountain Motorsports Park last weekend. Beech Ridge has been especially kind to Doiron, who posted a season-best finish of fifth at Beech Ridge back in July and sat on the outside pole for the 300 in 2010. (more…)

Mulkern Racing: PASS North Series 300

THE STORY
This weekend, a pair of Mulkern Racing entries will try and win the most prestigious regular-season PASS North Series race on the schedule, when Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, and Scott Mulkern of Falmouth, Maine, head to the PASS 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine. Sommerville won the last time the series visited Beech Ridge, back in July, taking the No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders/Community Pharmacies Chevrolet to Victory Lane for the first time this season. Mulkern, who has a both a track champion and a PASS Outlaw Late Model win at the track on his resume, competes in a PASS event for the fourth time this season.
