— The Centre for Speed, Atlantic Canada’s Super Speedway and “Metro Moncton’s Playground of Power”, will host the first of four visits by the Atlantic Open Wheel (AOW) Modifieds as part of its Albert County and Miramichi area ‘Community Day’ stock car racing program this Sunday afternoon.
Sunday’s 2:00 p.m. racing program will feature drivers from throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island battling it out in the first of four visits by the Atlantic Open Wheel (AOW)
Modifieds touring series, as well as weekly points championship racing in Shediac Sportsman, Mini Stock and Four Fun divisions.

Naples ME (6/8) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late models take a road trip this weekend for their only Maritime Canada appearance at New Brunswick Speedway 660, a popular stop on a 2011 schedule that will see the racing road show stop in four states and two Canadian provinces.
The Pro All Star’s trip to the Geary Woods oval on Saturday June 11 will mark the first extra distance event of the season and 200 green flag laps around this tight little oval is always a challenge. It’s a trip that the American teams look forward to each season and a grandstand packed with avid race fans is one of the reasons why. .

Lee, NH – Lee USA Speedway played host to the second round of the two-track Pro Stock Shootout” on Friday night, with longtime track regular Wayne Helliwell, Jr. besting a strong field of entries to pick up the win.
Erick Sands broke out on the start to set the early pace, leading the way for the first 14 circuits before giving up the top spot to Jeremy Davis on a restart. Helliwell followed Davis to the front, and he immediately began to pressure him for the lead.

Oxford, ME – Winthrop, Maine’s Jeff White earned his first career American Canadian Tour win in dominant fashion at his hometrack of Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, June 4. White led all but three laps in the Big JAB 150 while battling with seven time and defending ACT Champion Brian Hoar.
Hoar held on for second followed by Brent Dragon, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. and another Oxford regular TJ Brackett rounding out the top five. Shawn Martin completed the three Oxford regulars in the top ten with a sixth. Wayne Helliwell was the biggest mover in the 150 lap event as he came all the way from 32nd to finished seventh. Eric Chase, Jeff Labrecque, Jr., and 2010 ACT Rookie of the Year Brad Babb completed the top ten. (more…)

OXFORD, Maine – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., captured his third Top-3 in four ACT Late Model Tour starts this season with a second-place finish in The Big Jab 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Saturday, June 4. Hoar’s strong third-place finish in his heat race gave him the outside pole of the main feature. Hoar had a few strong side-by side runs with pole-sitter and eventual winner Jeff White, but settled for the second-place finish. Hoar was able to add to his ACT Late Model Tour standings lead as he pursues a record eighth championship with RPM Motorsports.

Canaan NH (6/4) Andy Shaw reclaimed the lead on the final restart of Saturday night’s Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Mod feature at New Hampshire’s Canaan Fair Speedway to earn his second win of 2011. Alan Wilson finished in the runner up spot with Leo Oliviera third, Scott McDaniel fourth and Bill Dixon fifth
Mark Lundblad Jr. and Shawn Austin brought the field to the green and Lundblad Jr. got the jump from the pole with Rich Ferreira racing up to second and Scott McDaniel third. Caution flew on lap four for a slowing Shawn Austin and when the green waved Ferreira got the best of Lundblad Jr. to take over the point. Alan Wilson followed Ferreira through with McDaniel third. Yellow flew on lap eight for a Billy Dixon spin, sending him to the tail of the lineup. (more…)
