All Systems Go for the Annual North-South Shootout

Lexington, CT: The eighth annual 109 U-Pull It John Blewett III Memorial North-South ShootoutTM has taken center stage among the brethren of the short track racing community. With the cars and stars from both the open-wheel and full-fendered ranks preparing for the annual event, the buzz has spread from east to Midwest. Teams scheduled to compete in the North-South Shootout on November 5&6 hail from New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, Arkansas, Kansas, Michigan, and more.

After seven successful years, the North-South Shootout had earned a reputation as one of the most prestigious events in short track racing. Since it’s inception in 2003, owner and promoter Charles Kepley and his team have strived to ensure that the North-South Shootout is the best-of-the-best in short track auto racing.

2010 OKTOBERFEST RESULTS FROM LEE USA SPEEDWAY

Lee, NH – Mother Nature put a damper on the action during Oktoberfest 2010
at Lee USA Speedway last weekend, with four divisions losing their feature
events to the rain despite a valiant effort by the track crew to keep things
in racing shape.

The dozens of teams who never got a chance to race will be back to finish
out the program this Saturday, but most of the headline divisions got their
races in the record books before the weatherman called it a night.

LEE OKTOBERFEST THIS WEEKEND

LEE, NH- For many race teams the annual Lee USA Speedway Oktoberfest
this Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be their final laps run on a race
track this year. For many race fans, this is also the last party weekend of
the year.

The racing begins on Friday with an open practice for most divisions
from 3-7:00 PM, followed by a pizza and beer party in the Checkered Flag Pub
with a DJ, karaoke and dancing at 7 PM.

RESULTS FROM SEPT 17th AT LEE USA SPEEDWAY

Lee USA Speedway closed out the 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late
Model championship season on Friday night, and Wayne Helliwell, Jr. put an
exclamation point on his title run by scoring feature win number eight of
the season in the E Keys 4 Cars 25-lapper.

Helliwell was easily the class of the field and led flag to flag in the
Bruce Bernhardt Ford to pick up the victory, with Pat Floyd finishing a
distant second.  Bobby Baillargeon, Steve Knowlton, and Tom Fuller rounded
out the top five finishers.

FINAL WEEKLY RACE NIGHT THIS FRIDAY AT LEE

LEE, NH- It has been an exciting race season at New Hampshire’s Center of
Speed, the Lee USA Speedway, but the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series
season comes to a close this Friday night, September 17th, with Oktoberfest
weekend on October 22nd -24th still to come.

Friday will be the final points night, with a season-long battle for the
Small Block Supermodified Track Championship on the line. Thomas Tombarello
Jr., and Billy Osborne are so close in the standings, it is likely that
whoever crosses the finish line first in their 25-lap feature event will
with the title. If they should both falter, Mike Netishen still has not been
mathematically eliminated from pulling the upset.

Lee Speedway – RESULTS FOR SEPTEMBER 11, 2010

Six-time International Supermodified Association (ISMA) Chris Perley added
another big win to his already-impressive resume with a victory in the 45th
running of the Classic at Lee USA Speedway on Saturday night.

Perley came into the night as a four-time overall Classic winner, including
the past two in a row, and he tied the legendary Ollie Silva and Russ Wood
to become just the third driver in Classic history to make the trip to
victory lane three years running.
