LATICRETE RENEWS SPONSORSHIP OF LEE MODIFIED RACE

 

BETHANY, CT- In a joint announcement, LATICRETE INTERNATIONAL Inc. and the Lee (N.H.) Speedway are proud to announce a sponsorship agreement to present the LATICRETE Port City 100 for the Modified Racing Series presented by Bob Valenti Auto Mall.com on Friday, July 9, featuring an increased purse for every finishing position as a result.

This agreement allows nearly all of the sponsorship money to go directly to the race teams, bringing the first place prize money for 2010 to a minimum of $3,000 thanks to additional money provided by race fan Jim Schaefer from Long Island. Twenty-four drivers will earn a minimum of $500 to start the event.

PRESS RELEASE FOR MAY 7th AT LEE USA SPEEDWAY

Lee, NH – Wayne Helliwell, Jr. made it two-for-two in the E Keys 4 Cars Late
Models at Lee USA Speedway Friday night, making him the man to beat in the
early stages of the 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championship
fight.

Bryan Kruczek led the feature event from the drop of the green, with Bobby
Baillargeon chasing him down to challenge for the lead in the waning laps.
But the pair found trouble in lapped traffic with two to go, and Helliwell
found the lead as a result.

A new racing series here in Maine is the Maine Modified Tour. Drivers will be competing in a total of 11 races at tracks from Wiscasset Raceway to as far north as Spud Speedway in Caribo, Maine.

One of the drivers competing in the inaugural Maine Modified Tour is, Dustin “Lil Man” Bisson. He is making the move over from the Kart Racing. He has high expectations for the 2010 season racing full time in the Maine Mods, and maybe a “Lil” moonlighting in the Strickly Streets, and Mini Cups races.

APRIL 30 RESULTS RELEASE FOR LEE USA SPEEDWAY

Lee, NH – Wayne Helliwell, Jr. was fast right out of the trailer on opening
night at Lee USA Speedway, and the 2009 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series
Late Model champion opened up his title defense with a feature win.

Jeremy Harclerode led the E Keys 4 Cars 50-lap main event to green, but he
only stayed out front for a few laps before Helliwell motored past.  Once in
the lead, Helliwell was never seriously challenged, but there was plenty of
good racing back in the pack.

OPENING NIGHT AT LEE USA SPEEDWAY

LEE, NH- The Lee USA Speedway has been “cleared for takeoff” by the Town of
Lee on the 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing season, which
begins this Friday night, April 30th.

With a number of rookie drivers expected to compete this season, the first
on-track activity will be a Rookie Orientation on the race track at 4:00 PM.
That will be followed by practice at 5:00 PM, with race time scheduled for
7:00 PM sharp. Gates will swing open earlier than normal, at 2:00 PM to
allow teams extra preparation time for the first event of 2010.
