N. Woodstock, NH – Teenage Hotshoe Derek Griffith is excited about this coming weekend’s trip to White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP).

WMMP is a picturesque ¼-mile bullring in northern New Hampshire that offers touring series the opportunity to race at one of the nicest facilities in New England.

Griffith is coming off a great podium finish at the Inaugural NH Classic 100 at Star Speedway on September 7, 2014. Derek started in the second spot for the 100 lap feature and stayed in the top 5 all day long. The podium finish allowed Griffith to pull ahead of Barry Gray for third place in the season long points battle. With 2 races to go, Derek feels he can seize an opportunity as the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) makes its first ever trip to WMMP.

9 For 9: Granite State Pro Stock Series Enjoys Parity in Winners Heading to White Mountain Motorsports Park

GSPS2Walpole, NH-    With only two races remaining, the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) has seen 9 different winners in 9 races on the 2014 season.  The next stop on the tour, the beautiful North Woodstock, NH facility, White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP), will throw a wild-card in the mix to keep the streak alive, as the GSPSS will race at the ¼ mile track for the first time in the series’ short existence.

The top three drivers in the 2014 championship standings have all recorded a win; Matt Frahm (Monadnock 5/31), Dillon Moltz (Star 9/7), and Larry Gelinas (Hudson 6/15).  However, five of the top 10 drivers in the point standings have not recorded a win (Derek Griffith, Mike Parks, Tommy O’Sullivan, Cory Robert, and Bobby Cabral).  Moltz, who has kept his no. 5, RB Performance/Brackett Mechanical Chevrolet, in the top of the field for the majority of the races this season, finally broke through and picked up the win at the NH Classic at Star Speedway last Sunday, September 7.  The former Waterford Speedbowl champion now sits just 15 points behind point leader, and career wins leader, Matt Frahm.  Gelinas, who led the points earlier in the season, sits only 17 behind Frahm with two races remaining. Packard Scores Top-5 in ACT at White Mountain Motorsports Park

Emily Packard

Emily Packard

EAST MONTPELIER, Vt – Two thirds of the way through the American Canadian Tour season and Packard is locked in the middle of the ACT championship points battle.  Continuing her impressive season, Packard and her 9x Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team set out this weekend to build on their success, including the ACT race at White Mountain Motorsports Park race.  Packard finished the race in 5th place, moving her from 4th to 2nd in the championship point standings.  “This was my first time at White Mountain in a late model, so I spent practice just learning the track, and where I needed to run,” said Packard.

In the heat race Packard started in the third position, fighting an ill-handling race car she was able to finish the heat in third place.  This got her into the race without having to run in the consolation race, which gave Neal and the guys time to work on the car.  “We fought a car that was loose in and pushy tight through the center in the heat race,” Packard said “But the guys went back and forth across the spectrum to fix the car for the feature event.”

Red hot DJ Shaw picked up his third consecutive PASS North win this past Saturday night in the Littleton Chevrolet 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire.

Glen Luce and Joey Polewarcyzk brought the twenty-four car field to the green flag, and the race was on. Luce jumped to the point and held the lead til lap 76 when Joey Pole tangled with a lapped car bringing out the first caution of the night.

On the ensuing restart, Luce and Richie Dearborn made up the front row with Jeremy Davis, DJ Shaw and Travis Stearns rounding out the top five. At the drop of the green, the front row got together sending Dearborn #33 hard into the front stretch wall and Luce spinning in turn one. Dearborn was unhurt but his car was finished for the night.

North Woodstock, NH – DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM Racing team made it three in a row this past weekend with a big win at their home track of White Mountain Motorsports Park. Shaw was able to grab the lead for the final time with 30 laps to go after a hard fought battle once again with Johnny Clark. This marks only the seventh time in Pro All Stars Series North history that a driver has won three straight races.

“This team has been incredible this year, when everything is going right you have to take advantage of it and that’s just what we’re doing,” Shaw in victory lane, “We were lucky to not get another caution there at the end and I had a lot of fun racing hard with the 54 again, it was also good to see some more company cars (Dale Shaw Racecars) up near the front today with us today too.”
