This race season Taylor has been racing in 2 different series at 2 different race tracks, “Basically the only difficult part is that we live so far away from both tracks. Richmond races every Sunday and Wiscasset is every other Saturday, so there is a slight break, but on the Saturdays I’m not racing Wiscasset, I’m back in the Mini Cup up in Kingfield.”
Racing in the mini-cups at Richmond Karting Speedway Taylor is racing the corvette body style. “This car is the one that beat me for the Kingfield Championship in 2014 and Keith (my step dad) wanted to buy it at the end of the year, but at the end of the year I was diagnosed with cancer so we knew money would be tight. He ended up buying it and Darron (Burrill) and Keith wrapped the muddy girl camo themselves. I’ve always loved Chevrolet and my dream car is a Corvette, but now I am able to race one!”
With the corvette body style there is no spoiler or wing to affect the rear down force. “At the tracks we race at we really aren’t going fast enough for aerodynamics to play much of a factor, it definitely doesn’t slow me down!”
