Barre, Vt. – The final point-counting event of the season at Barre’s Thunder Road is set for this Friday, September 8 at 7:00pm with Community College of Vermont (CCV) Championship Night. The Thunder Road Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, and Allen Lumber Street Stocks will all crown their champions at the Friday night affair that was previously postponed due to weather.
As part of the CCV Championship Night special, all three divisions will run extra-distance features. The Late Models will cap the night with a 65-lap main event, while the Flying Tigers and Street Stocks will run 50 and 35 laps, respectively.

Barre, Vt. – St. Albert, Qué.’s Alex Labbé has filed the first official entry for the 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1. The 2014 Serié ACT Champion will look to become the first Canadian driver since 2008 to win the historic event.
Labbé is an 11-time Serié ACT winner and currently leads the NASCAR Pinty’s Series standings. He was the polesitter for the 2013 Vermont Milk Bowl and is aiming for his first victory in “The Toughest Short-Track Stock Car Race in North America”.

Barre, Vt. – The 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank is just around the corner at Barre’s Thunder Road. Track officials have announced plans for the latest running of the famed event at the Barre high banks on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1, with five divisions of racing action that promise something for every racing fan in the Northeast.
The 55th Milk Bowl is the biggest event on the Thunder Road calendar with a storied history that dates back to 1962. It has been captured by the biggest names of Northeast U.S. and Canadian Late Model racing over the decades from four-time winner Robbie Crouch to three-time champion Nick Sweet. Many of today’s top American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Thunder Road Late Model drivers are expected at the 55th edition as well.

Barre, Vt. – Hometown driver Jason Corliss scored his third Thunder Road Late Model win of the season in dramatic fashion at Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night on Thursday, August 24. The number-thee point driver fended off fellow Barre competitor Cody Blake and South Burlington’s Trampas Demers in a three-car thriller to take his seventh career Late Model victory in the Thursday night finale.
Corliss appeared to have the race in hand after getting the jump on Milton’s Eric Chase following the second and final restart on lap-29 of the 50-lap event and pulling out to a big advantage. But Blake reeled him in after getting around Chase and began looking to Corliss’ outside in the closing laps.

Barre, Vt. – Barre’s Thunder Road hosts its final Thursday night event of the 2017 racing season this Thursday, August 24 with Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night. All four divisions will be in action as drivers set themselves up for the final push in their title chases.
In addition to a full card of action for the Thunder Road Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors, the program will feature the annual “Run-What-You-Brung” spectator races. Drivers ages 18 or older will compete in one-on-one single lap races in their street-legal vehicles around the Barre high banks. All vehicles need to be registered, inspected, and insured, and competitors must purchase a pit pass and wear an approved safety helmet. Competitors must register by6:00pm and the field will be capped at 50 entries.
