BARRE, VT – Stock car driver Jared Henry of East Barre has won the use of a recreational vehicle from Mekkelsen RV in East Montpelier. As part of the Mekkelsen RV Winner’s Circle program at Barre’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl, Henry’s name was entered into a random draw with some 47 other drivers that had won a feature event at the Barre track prior to the Chittenden Milk Bowl on Saturday, Sept. 29. Henry’s name was selected to win the use of a 29-foot Class C motorhome for four days and three nights, with 500 free miles.<\/p>\n

Henry scored his first career Power Shift Online Junkyard Warrior victory on May 28. Ironically, the
event was the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic. “I was thinking about going to Daytona Beach in February,” he said, “and now I guess I have another reason – that camper will come in handy!”

The Mekkelsen RV Winner’s Circle program at Thunder Road provides the feature event winner in each weekly racing division – the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models, NAPA Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and Power Shift Warriors – a choice reserved parking place on pit road at the next event. Each of the winners’ parking places includes a picnic table for the exclusive use of the winning driver and his or her team.<\/p>\n
