\nOxford Plains Speedway Race Report<\/strong><\/p>\n

OXFORD, Maine \u2013 Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, finished ninth in the PASS North Series PASS 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Friday, July 12. Babb qualified on the pole for the race \u2013 which was originally rained-out on June 23 \u2013 and ran inside the Top-10 throughout the event. He lost power-steering in the No. 14 Babb Wood Contractors\/McGoldrick Bros. Blasting Chevrolet early in the race and fought an ill-handling race car that worsened over the course of the 150 laps. Still, the ninth-place effort marked Babb’s best career outing at Oxford Plains Speedway.<\/p>\n

BRADLEY, HOW WOULD YOU SUM UP YOUR NIGHT? <\/p>\n

It was a good solid run. To tell you the truth, I’m happy to have a car in one piece the way my season’s been going. After last week (at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway), getting stoved up on a restart, coming out of here with a Top-10 is great \u2013 hopefully, we’ll be back here for the ‘250’ next week.<\/p>\n

We really weren’t too bad. I’m happy to come out of here with nothing but one little dent in the door.<\/p>\n

WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THE CAR? <\/p>\n

Just as the feature went on, it got too loose. We pretty much knew it was going to, and then I got overruled and we didn’t make the change we were going to make before the race. I think at the beginning we really had a Top-5 car, and then as it loosened up there was nothing I could really do. Losing power steering way before halfway really didn’t help, either. <\/p>\n

HOW DID THE EARLY CAUTIONS AND LONG GREEN FLAG RUN AFFECT YOU? <\/p>\n

At the beginning, the car was really good on restarts for two or three laps. Heck, it was just good then. Then after 30 laps or so, we’d have some yellows and it was good for a few laps after the restarts. Then we had that long green run, and it fell off a little. But then it kind of stabilized at the end, and I was starting to reel a couple guys back in. <\/p>\n
