The \u201cPeople\u2019s Race\u201d, as it has become known, gives the average fan the chance to tackle the Barre-highbanks for a shot at the $3,000 grand prize. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">Long-time veteran of the M&amp;M Beverage Enduro and the 1987 Enduro Champion Don \u201cDipstick\u201d Tofani of Plainfield filed the first 2013 entry. He will wheel one of the over 100 nearly street-legal cars, which will be lined-up three-wide before taking off for the 200-laps with stops only occurring for fires and roll-overs. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">Dipstick will be joined by last year\u2019s Enduro winner Paul Dudley of Waitsfield, Barre Mayor Thom Lauzon, Jeff Spooner of Essex, and Craftsbury\u2019s Joel Hodgdon. Thunder Road Rough Riders Alan Derrington, and Justin Johnson are also among the over 40 filed entries so far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\"> The Enduro rules and entries can be found on the Thunder Road website (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thunderroadspeedbowl.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.thunderroadspeedbowl.com<\/a>) or picked up at the track during every <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_588888092\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Thursday<\/span><\/span> night event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">The 29<sup>th<\/sup> Annual M&amp;M Beverage Enduro will thunder to life atop Quarry Hill on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_588888093\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Sunday, August 11<\/span><\/span>. The Allen Lumber Street Stocks will also run a 50-lap special.
