\"troad\"St-Pie, QC \u2013 <\/span><\/i>Williamstown, VT\u2019s Jimmy Hebert claimed his second career American Canadian Tour victory of his career in the Sanair 150 at Sanair Super Speedway on Saturday, August 3. Hebert started from the pole position with a +6 qualifying effort on his way to his heat win. He faded back during the early stages of the event before working his way back to the point just before the halfway mark. He returned to the lead for good on lap 70 and built a large lead before the final rain shower of the day came and cut the race short on lap 145.<\/span><\/p>\n

S\u00e9rie ACT competitor Alex Labbe and Wayne Helliwell, Jr. came from 12th<\/sup> and 24th<\/sup> respectively to complete the podium. Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. worked his way from 13th<\/sup> to take 4th<\/sup>. Eight-time ACT Champion Brian Hoar and Glen Luce battled for the lead for the majority of the first half of the event. Hoar began to fade before the lap 77 mandatory caution for fuel and tires. He then worked his way back up to finish fifth.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Jonathan Bouvrette, Ben Lynch, Donald Theetge, Jean-Fran\u00e7ois D\u00e9ry and rookie Bobby Therrien rounded out the top ten.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event took one hour and fifty-three minutes including the 15 minute caution for a mandatory tire and fuel stop. The race began after several rain delays and was completed with 145 laps completed as rain once again moved in. The event was slowed by seven cautions including the mandatory caution.<\/span><\/p>\n

The S\u00e9rie ACT returns to Autodrome St-Eustache next Saturday, August 10<\/span><\/span> for a 200 lap event. The ACT US Tour has next weekend off before heading to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 17<\/span><\/span> for a 150-lap event.<\/span><\/p>\n
