\"DSC_1042\"Cam Corbin from Farmingdale, ME is 13 years old and racing in Jr. Sportsman Division at Richmond Karting Speedway (RKS). One of the reasons Cam enjoys racing at RKS is, \u201cThe high banks because you don’t have to let off.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cam has a lot of experience racing at RKS and knows how to get around the track: \u201cHaving a good line and knowing the track.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Even though Cam has some top five finishes this season, he is looking forward to taking his kart back to Victory Lane.\u00a0 <\/span>So what does it take for the 54 to take the checkered flag?\u00a0 <\/span>According to Cam, \u201cWell, a good handling kart and to be focused and not making mistakes on the track.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At RKS, drivers race both during the day and at night under the lights, \u201cI like racing at night, though I’ve only won during the day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to working on the kart, it\u2019s a family affair, \u201cMy dad and Uncle (Bob Clark) really do a lot to it, though I help out.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cam didn\u2019t spend his entire summer racing. \u201cI went camping, hung out with my friends and went to some of my Uncle (Johnny Clark) races.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

School starts later this month so I asked Cam if he was gearing up to go back to class, \u201cNot really, summer was really short.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
