font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-10049\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 6px;\" alt=\"driver_jd\" src=\"http:\/\/www.maineracing.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/driver_jd.jpg\" width=\"219\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maineracing.com\/legacy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/driver_jd.jpg 219w, https:\/\/maineracing.com\/legacy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/driver_jd-182x300.jpg 182w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 219px) 100vw, 219px\" \/>Berwick, ME \u2013 Going into the final race of his best season since joining the Pro All Stars Series North in 2010, Joey Doiron is feeling confident racing for his first championship.\u00a0 In a season that started out with Doiron battling Cassius Clark for the win at Oxford Plains Speedway, it would seem fitting that those two are the front runners leading into the final race of the season at the same track.<\/p>\n<p>With his two wins, eight top fives and a series leading ten top ten finishes, Doiron has certainly had a season to remember.\u00a0 He has lead the point\u2019s standings since the seasons second race until being surpassed by Clark by just three points in the last race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.\u00a0 With two runner up finishes in the season opening race at Oxford Plains and in the TD Bank 250, Doiron is confident his team can perform well enough to grab the championship this weekend.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n\u201cThere\u2019s been a few of us that are close at Oxford Plains, but we\u2019ve been right there every time,\u201d Doiron said of the famous 3\/8th mile speedway, \u201cEither way, no one expected us to have lead the point\u2019s standings all year or even be in this position with one race to go, so it\u2019s good to prove to a lot of people we can be a championship contending team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The showdown will be this <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1473214939\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Saturday, September 28th<\/span><\/span> at Oxford Plains Speedway in the Ripley &amp;
