{"id":12469,"date":"2014-02-26T09:30:48","date_gmt":"2014-02-26T14:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.maineracing.com\/wp\/?p=12469"},"modified":"2014-02-26T09:30:48","modified_gmt":"2014-02-26T14:30:48","slug":"joey-doiron-set-kick-2014-greenville-pickens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maineracing.com\/legacy\/2014\/02\/joey-doiron-set-kick-2014-greenville-pickens\/","title":{"rendered":"Joey Doiron Set to Kick Off 2014 at Greenville-Pickens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-11836\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 5px;\" alt=\"1000-DSC_0010\" src=\"http:\/\/www.maineracing.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/1000-DSC_0010.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"271\" \/>Berwick, ME \u2013 Joey Doiron will begin his 2014 campaign this weekend at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easly, South Carolina for the first Pro All Stars Series South event of the season.\u00a0 Doiron will start his season behind the wheel of Dickie Woodman\u2019s #4 Super Late Model.\u00a0 Last year, Doiron opened up the season with a win at Auburndale Speedway, leading to his best season since joining the Late Model ranks.\u00a0 He\u2019s hoping he can start this season out the same way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';\">\u201cI am just really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things,\u201d Doiron said of this weekend, \u201cI can\u2019t thank Dickie Woodman enough for the opportunity, we are going to learn a lot from him and Daniel Hemric (Doiron\u2019s teammate this weekend), hopefully we can learn a few things that we can apply to our own program this year.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';\">This will be Doiron\u2019s first trip to Greenville-Pickens Speedway. One of the oldest short tracks in the country, this half mile flat track is one of the toughest in the country.\u00a0 Doiron is planning on racing in three races for the Woodman Racing team in PASS South events.
