\"GSPS2\"Walpole, NH-<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>With only two races remaining, the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) has seen 9 different winners in 9 races on the 2014 season.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>The next stop on the tour, the beautiful North Woodstock, NH facility, White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP), will throw a wild-card in the mix to keep the streak alive, as the GSPSS will race at the \u00bc mile track for the first time in the series\u2019 short existence.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The top three drivers in the 2014 championship standings have all recorded a win; Matt Frahm (Monadnock 5\/31), Dillon Moltz (Star 9\/7), and Larry Gelinas (Hudson 6\/15).<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>However, five of the top 10 drivers in the point standings have not recorded a win (Derek Griffith, Mike Parks, Tommy O\u2019Sullivan, Cory Robert, and Bobby Cabral).<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Moltz, who has kept his no. 5, RB Performance\/Brackett Mechanical Chevrolet, in the top of the field for the majority of the races this season, finally broke through and picked up the win at the NH Classic at Star Speedway last Sunday, September 7.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>The former Waterford Speedbowl champion now sits just 15 points behind point leader, and career wins leader, Matt Frahm.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Gelinas, who led the points earlier in the season, sits only 17 behind Frahm with two races remaining.<\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n

For Griffith, it hasn\u2019t been due to lack of effort to put the FEP Insurance\/Motorcycles of Manchester Toyota in the winner\u2019s circle.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>The 17 year-old Hudson, NH native has finished inside the top 10 a total of 8 times in 9 races, with one 18<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> place finish at Star Speedway after being involved in multiple incidents during the evening.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>The Louie Mechalides-led team has set their target on another strong finish at a track the series has yet to see a green flag fly.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cLouie (Mechalides) knows the place very well, and we all expect the car to be fast,\u201d Griffith spoke.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI think we just need some luck.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Other drivers to win on the GSPSS in 2014 have been 2013 champion Mike O\u2019Sullivan (Thompson 4\/6), Jeremy Davis (Star 6\/28), Joey Polewarczyk, JR (Lee 7\/25), Barry Gray (Monadnock 8\/9), Wayne Helliwell, JR (Star 8\/16), and Brad Babb (Hudson 8\/24).<\/span><\/p>\n
