WALPOLE, NH \u2013 After a dominant performance at his home track, Hudson International Speedway, Derek Griffith looks to stay hot as the Granite State Pro Stock Series travels to Star Speedway for the Star 100, June 27<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Griffith, after picking up his second victory of the season (Claremont, Hudson), has slightly increased his point lead over Barry Gray, due in part to his spectacular streak to begin the 2015 campaign.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>The Hudson, NH native has yet to finish outside the top four in a Granite State Pro Stock Series event this year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am glad to finally shake the bad luck, and really be able to show myself to everyone as a driver,\u201d said Griffith.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cLouie has honed me in, not only with a car, but with his years of experience.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Griffith has three top ten finishes in four starts at Star Speedway, but suffered multiple setbacks in the second event of 2014 at the facility, coming away with an 18<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> place finish.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Continues Griffith, \u201cWe\u2019ve practiced [at Star] a lot to get the track down, and really work on me as a driver.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Star will be a good race [for us], I hope.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dillon Moltz has entered the Star 100, as well.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>The Waterford, CT driver has run an \u201coutlaw\u201d-type schedule this year, choosing select events, and not committing to one series.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>With Star Speedway on the schedule, it was nearly a no-brainer to attend, as the former New London-Waterford Speedbowl champion earned a win and a second place in 2014.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When asked why Star Speedway was included in the plans for 2015, Moltz commented \u201cStar [Speedway] is on our schedule, because we always run good there, and love going to a great track like Star that the Webber family put so much effort into.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve always done well there, and have always been fast right off the trailer.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>I have always seemed to click with that track.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s a very racy track, and a true driver\u2019s track.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
