{"id":15038,"date":"2015-07-01T12:24:23","date_gmt":"2015-07-01T16:24:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.maineracing.com\/wp\/?p=15038"},"modified":"2015-07-01T12:24:23","modified_gmt":"2015-07-01T16:24:23","slug":"former-speedway-51-track-champ-set-for-debut-with-granite-state-pro-stock-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maineracing.com\/legacy\/2015\/07\/former-speedway-51-track-champ-set-for-debut-with-granite-state-pro-stock-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Speedway 51 Track Champ Set for Debut with Granite State Pro Stock Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-12231\" src=\"http:\/\/www.maineracing.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/GSPS2.jpg\" alt=\"GSPS2\" width=\"463\" height=\"171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maineracing.com\/legacy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/GSPS2.jpg 463w, https:\/\/maineracing.com\/legacy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/GSPS2-300x110.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 463px) 100vw, 463px\" \/>GROVETON, NH \u2013 The Granite State Pro Stock Series will see new blood joining the ranks, as Derek Ming returns to his home track to compete in the Twisted Tea Firecracker 151, at Speedway 51 (NH), <span data-term=\"goog_79512290\">July 4<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ming, of West Burke, VT, has plenty of laps under his belt at the \u00bc mile facility, including three championships in two different divisions.\u00a0 While winning a title in the former Outlaw division in 2009, Ming went undefeated, winning every race he entered.\u00a0 Ming has multiple wins in the Late Model division at the track, and picked up a sixth-place finish in the Generation Next 151 under the ACT banner, after starting tenth.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ming says \u201cWe\u2019d like to win, but our team goal is to have fun.\u00a0 I\u2019ve heard so many good things about the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS), and Mike [Parks] and the tech staff have been great to us, so far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Derek will be piloting the former Steven Legendre ride, which has seen ownership from Joey Laquerre, and, most recently, Jason Allen.\u00a0 What makes this homecoming even more story-like, is the last person to sit behind the wheel of Ming\u2019s ride was the late Joey M.
