Woodstock, NH) \u2013 The Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) travels to White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) on Saturday August 1<sup>st<\/sup> and point leader No. 12 Derek Griffith is chomping at the bit.<\/p>\n<p>Griffith, the 18 year-old, Hudson, NH native likes how the GSPSS cars react to the \u00bc-mile bullring at WMMP. \u201cI love the way our No. 12 MOM\u2019s of Manchester\/LCM Racing\/FEP Insurance Toyota Camry handled up there last year. You can carry a lot of speed through the corners, which makes for fast, tight racing\u201d said Derek.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This is the 8<sup>th<\/sup> of 12 races for the Granite State Pro Stock Series and Griffith raced his way to a fourth place finish at WMMP in last year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n<p>Derek talks about this year\u2019s event \u201cWe would love to get our fourth win of the year at WMMP. I know Louie [Crew Chief Louie Mechalides] has a good set-up for us. I mean we finished fourth in our first ever trip up here, last year and I think with the way our team is working together, a win is certainly possible\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Griffith comes in to the WMMP event as the season-long point leader and Derek talks about having to resort to a new motor \u201cWe brought a new motor to Lee [Lee Speedway, Seacoast 100] because of the engine failure we had at Speedway 51 a few weeks earlier. Louie dialed it in and we were able to grab a second place, the car was strong and seemed to like the long green-flag runs\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Come out to White Mountain Motorsports Park and see Derek and the Granite State Pro Stock Series in action this Saturday August 1<sup>st<\/sup>.
