{"id":15464,"date":"2015-09-10T23:23:36","date_gmt":"2015-09-11T03:23:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.maineracing.com\/wp\/?p=15464"},"modified":"2015-09-10T23:23:36","modified_gmt":"2015-09-11T03:23:36","slug":"packard-set-to-tackle-autodrome-chaudiere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maineracing.com\/legacy\/2015\/09\/packard-set-to-tackle-autodrome-chaudiere\/","title":{"rendered":"Packard Set to Tackle Autodrome Chaudi\u00e8re"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_14019\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14019\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14019\" src=\"http:\/\/www.maineracing.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/RPM_4662-e1411436138521.jpg\" alt=\"photo by RPM 360\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14019\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">photo by RPM 360<\/p><\/div>\n<p>EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. \u2013 Emily Packard and her Northstar Fireworks\/Packard Fuels team are gearing up to make the final trip of the season north of the border for the ACT\/PASS Chaudi\u00e8re Twin 200\u2019s at Vall\u00e9e-Jct., QC\u2019s Autodrome Chaudi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the 18-year olds first trip to this \u00bc mile, high banked oval.\u00a0 Nonetheless, her veteran crew chief, Neal Woodward, has had some experience here previously, and will base the initial car set-up on something similar to what they ran at White Mountain Motorsports Park.\u00a0 From there they will adjust it as needed but Packard knows that it will be a challenge to get a handle on the track and the set-up in the three allotted 30 minute practices they have.\u00a0 &#8220;I have never had the chance to run here but I hear it\u2019s a fun place to race and I am really looking forward to it,&#8221; Packard said.\u00a0 &#8220;Practice will definitely be important to get a feel for the track and getting the car set-up to run well there.\u00a0 Having just raced at Thunder Road, another high banked oval, I feel that we are somewhat prepped for this race.&#8221;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Currently Packard finds herself in 6<sup>th<\/sup> place in the championship points, trailing the 5<sup>th<\/sup> place driver by 13 points.\u00a0 Emily and the team will focus on gaining as many points as they can to break back into the top 5 in the points standings this weekend.\u00a0 This race marks the 11<sup>th<\/sup> race of the 13 race schedule for the American Canadian Tour.<\/p>\n<p>The American Canadian Tour\/S\u00e9rie ACT will share race day with the Pro All Star Series North (PASS), each running 200 lap feature races. <span data-term=\"goog_1867900228\">Saturday&#8217;s<\/span> practice for the late model teams is scheduled to start <span data-term=\"goog_1867900229\">2:30<\/span> with, heats slated to start at <span data-term=\"goog_1867900230\">6 pm<\/span>.\u00a0 For those of you that can&#8217;t make it out to the race, be sure to follow along on social media for updates on practice, heat races and the feature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. \u2013 Emily Packard and her Northstar Fireworks\/Packard Fuels team are gearing up to make the final trip of the season north of the border for the ACT\/PASS Chaudi\u00e8re Twin 200\u2019s at Vall\u00e9e-Jct., QC\u2019s Autodrome Chaudi\u00e8re.
