officials, along with representatives of East Carolina Motor Speedway, announced today that the PASS South Super Late Model event scheduled for <span data-term=\"goog_1074770521\">Saturday, July 30<\/span> has been cancelled.\u00a0 After long deliberation, PASS and East Carolina Motor Speedway officials have agreed, for the health of Super Late Model racing in the Carolinas as a whole, it is best to move ahead and look towards the future.\u00a0 While the East Carolina event was announced last November, two months prior to the release of any other schedules, both parties have agreed that this is the right decision.\u00a0 PASS South will be back in action again for 150 laps on <span data-term=\"goog_1074770522\">Saturday, August 13<\/span> at South Boston Speedway, while East Carolina Motor Speedway will continue with a full slate of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing on <span data-term=\"goog_1074770523\">July 30<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe felt that it was in everybody\u2019s interest to go ahead and remove this event from the schedule so everyone can focus and plan for the remaining races in 2016,\u201d said PASS President Tom Mayberry.\u00a0 \u201cThe folks at East Carolina have been great to work with and it\u2019s unfortunate that we will not be able to go there due to actions out of our control.\u00a0 We wish East Carolina nothing but success and hope to work with them again in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Following the PASS South Super Late Model event at South Boston Speedway, the series will move to Hickory Motor Speedway on <span data-term=\"goog_1074770524\">Saturday, September 24<\/span>.\u00a0 The PASS South and PASS National Super Late Model champions will be crowned as part of the 14<sup>th<\/sup> Annual North-South Shootout on <span data-term=\"goog_1074770525\">November 3-5<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Pro All Stars Series is recognized as North America\u2019s premier sanctioning body for asphalt Super Late Models and Modifieds, boasting such marquee events as the legendary HP Hood Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway and PASS South\u2019s Easter Bunny 150 at the historic Hickory Motor
