Mark passed away at his home&nbsp;Monday morning May&nbsp;12, 2008.&nbsp;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><font size=\"3\">ALNRS Series Director Michael A. Vasquez, Sr. stated, &nbsp;I first had the pleasure of meeting Mark back in 2002 shortly after I joined the Allison Legacy Series. He was known as the go to guy for information and was always willing to help you with your car.&nbsp; His set up&nbsp;book was like a free library of information. He once said to me if you can beat me with my set up then you beat me as racer against racer.&nbsp; If you ever got a chance to race against him or see him race you knew he had what it took and that he was a racers racer and a true champion.&nbsp; Words cannot express the loss we will all feel not having Mark&nbsp;there to guide both&nbsp;the young and veteran competitors alike both on and off the track. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"3\">A Memorial Service will be held at Pugh Funeral Home in Ashboro, North Carolina at 11:00 on Thursday, May 15, 2008.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Victory Junction Gang.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Newburgh, NY May 13, 2008 &#8211; The Allison Legacy Series and the racing community as a whole suffered a great loss with the passing of the Allison Legacy 2003 National champion Mark Howard of Randleman, NC.
