Waterbury, VT<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Lee USA Speedway officials announced today that the 28th<\/sup>\u00a0New Hampshire Governor\u2019s Cup has been postponed due to lingering snow from the past winter. The event has been rescheduled to\u00a0Sunday, April 22 at 1:15pm.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The card of racing will remain the same, with the ACT Late Model Tour going 150 laps in their 33rd<\/sup>\u00a0season opener. Lee\u2019s R&R Steel Late Model Sportsmen and the Northeast Classic Lites will also be in action.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got a lot of snow over the winter, just like much of the region did,\u201d Lee USA promoter Norman Wrenn, III said. \u201cDespite the warmer weather recently, there is still a significant ways to go, and we just don\u2019t think the track can be ready by\u00a0April 15<\/span><\/span>. No one likes postponements, but given the current conditions, we believe pushing the event back a week will be better for teams and fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

The optional practice day for the ACT Late Models and for the track\u2019s weekly divisions has also been rescheduled and will be held\u00a0Saturday, April 21 at 12:00pm.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The pits will open at\u00a08:00am<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on both\u00a0Saturday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Sunday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0while the front gates will open at\u00a09:00am<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on Sunday<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n
