The Sportsman 108 saw 14 competitors  hit the track. The new purple #73 of Mark Dodge of Anson took home the checkered  flag in the first heat race. The second heat race was won by the 2007 Unity  Raceway Sportsman Point Champion, Brad Bellows, of South China. These two  drivers would go head to head for many laps in the feature event. Both drivers  would end the event with mechanical failures looming. Bellows would finish first  with Dodge following in second.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">. New comer to  Unity Raceway, Dan McKeage would take home the third place trophy.<\/font><\/font><\/font><br \/><!--more--><br \/><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">The Monsta Mini&#39;s also had a full field. Clinton&#39;s  own, Timmy Robinson, would take first heat race. Former Speedway 95 competitor,  Duane Dunifer, would lead the pack in the second heat race. The feature would  see Robinson again looking for the lead. After many laps of side by side racing  with the #3 car of Josh Childs, Robinson took the lead for good. Childs had to  settle for second. Dunifer brought home his first trophy of the season by  finishing third. <\/font><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">The Late Model Pro 4 division has had seen the  division grow for the first time in years. Sophomore driver, Sean Johnson, took  home his first checkered flag of the season with a win in the first heat race.  Former Pro-4 champion, Steve Rackliff, raced for the win in the second heat  race. The feature saw seasoned veteran, Jimmy Dennis, race door to door with  Steve Rackliff for many laps. Dennis found the inside groove to his liking and  took the lead. Sean Johnson took advantage&nbsp;of&nbsp;lapped traffic and moved  into the second position. Rackliff followed him closely across the line for  third.<\/font><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">The Unity Variety Wildcats would have teenage  sensation, Dustin Hubbard, show the way to the heat race win. Hubbard has proven  that if it has wheel, he may want to race it. The feature would again feature  Hubbard taking the lead. After some door to door racing with close friend, Troy  Patterson, Hubbard would take home his first feature win of the season.  Patterson would settle for second. Third place would go&nbsp;to veteran, Mike  Greenleaf.<\/font><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">The Geo &amp; Sons Teens would debut the 2008  season with a new batch of faces competing with the young veterans. Young  driver, Ben Nile, started right where he left off at the end of the 2007 season  with a heat race win. Nile was able to take the lead in the feature only to see  the lead diminish as the fast #30 of Ricky Palmer&nbsp;took&nbsp;the lead  passing Nile on the outside. Palmer would drive away to take the checkered with  Nile following in second. Jeremy Ludden would follow the pair across the stripe  in third. <\/font><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">The Enduro&#39;s would take the track for what would  prove to be an exciting first feature. Young Alex Fernald would take the lead  and show the field around the 1\/3 mile track. Fernald showed he was up for any  task when he looked in the mirror to see his mother&#39;s street Lincoln bearing  down on his bumper. Track operating manager, George Fernald Jr., decided to see  what track conditions were like for his new class. Young Alex was up for the  task of his father&#39;s bumping taking home the feature win. Tim Pelotte followed  the Fernald clan across the line for second.
