Flashing lightning and darkening skies made for an interesting backdrop to the 30 lap Late Model feature. Rain then began to fall as the final class of the evening, the Super Streets, rolled onto the track for the Hight Chevrolet 100. Track management made the quick decision to postpone the 100 lap race until the following weekend. Other winners on the evening were Jefferson’s Ed Peirpont in the Strictly Streets; Pittston’s Shawn Kimball in the Stock Mini’s; Kristy Millay of Palermo in the Ladies Division; Tyler Tibbetts of Montville in the Teen Division; and Jacob Dore of Sanford in the NELCAR Legends. The other highlight of the day was something that happened off the track as Farmingdale businessman and former Wiscasset competitor Doug White and his wife Becky reached an agreement with the David & Sandra St Clair to purchase Wiscasset Raceway.
