With a number of rookie drivers expected to compete this season, the first
on-track activity will be a Rookie Orientation on the race track at 4:00 PM.
That will be followed by practice at 5:00 PM, with race time scheduled for
7:00 PM sharp. Gates will swing open earlier than normal, at 2:00 PM to
allow teams extra preparation time for the first event of 2010.<\/p>\n

A large field of cars filled the pit area last Saturday afternoon for “test
and tune” day at the track, including 2009 E-Keys 4 Cars NASCAR Late Model
Champion Wayne Helliwell Jr. New Hampshire State NASCAR Champion J.R. Baril
was also on hand with a new paint scheme on his car. This duo is expected to
give fans plenty to cheer about on Friday night.<\/p>\n
The Small-Block Super Modifieds will be in competition as well on Friday,
with a larger field expected for the new season. Grant Aither, the 2009 Late
Model Sportsman Champion was also at the track for practice Saturday and he
promises to be a threat to repeat as champion once again.<\/p>\n
A roster card may be needed to keep track of drivers in different equipment,
and different divisions in 2010. \u00a0A.J Panessiti has made the jump from the
Hobby Stock division to a Late Model. Jim Piaseczny and 2009 Road Runner
Champion Nick Manyati have moved to the Hobby Stock division.<\/p>\n
The Road Runner and Ironman divisions will also be competing on Friday
night. Admission for opening night remains at just $10 for adults, with
children aged 12 and under admitted free of charge.<\/p>\n
With the 2010 season just beginning race fans can look forward to many
special events at the track this year.<\/p>\n
Major touring series’ scheduled to make appearances at New Hampshire’s
Center of Speed in 2010 include the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, the Modified
Racing Series (MRS), Pro All Stars Series (PASS), International Super
Modified Association (ISMA), American-Canadian Tour (ACT), and the NEMA
Midgets on Sprint Cup Weekend in New Hampshire.<\/p>\n
