Dearborn, Michigan – Ford Racing has announced a posting of $8,250 in contingencies for the PASS North and Pass South Super Late Model race programs for the 2010 race season. <\/span>The contingency is posted for use of any Ford Racing Sealed Racing Engine, engine block or cylinder heads. <\/span>Race winners using Ford Racing engine components will earn $200 for a race win. <\/span>Each of the PASS North and PASS South Super Late Model points champions will be eligible for a $1,000 contingency award as well. <\/span>Ford Racing will also have a bonus posting for the PASS 400 Weekend event with\u00a0 $500 to win, $250 for second and $100 for third. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“The PASS North and South Super Late Model rules package has struck a competitive balance between built and Sealed Racing Engines and makes it one of the most exciting asphalt short track series from Florida to Maine. <\/span>There is a place for a Ford Racing engine or engine components no matter what type of engine program the PASS Race Team likes best,” <\/span> <\/span>said Mike Delahanty, Program Manager-Sportsman Circle Track Racing for\u00a0Ford Racing.<\/span><\/p>\n

PASS approved the Ford Racing D347SR Sealed Racing Engine for competition this year, increasing the Ford engine choices available to short track racers that want to run Blue Oval power. <\/span>Vermont native Steven Legendre was one of the first PASS racers to make the switch to Blue Oval Power and will be competing in the PASS North and South Series with a D347SR Sealed Racing engine. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
