Point leader  Preston  Peltier continued his consistent streak with a second place finish  followed by  Jimmy Weller with a career best third. Two young guns in Devin Jones and  Stephen  Nasse rounded out the top five.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\" \/><span \/><br \/>\n<br \/><!--more--><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span>The Piedmont  Pride 150 marked the  series\u2019 first trip to the pristine 4\/10<sup>th<\/sup> mile facility and  it showed  early and often in the first twenty five laps. The yellow flag was  displayed  four times in the first fourteen laps including a red flag situation  coming out  for the night\u2019s first incident on lap four. Several drivers had their  race cut  short including third place points man Heath Hindman who had the hardest  hit of  the night when his #91 RTV Chevy Impala pounded the turn one wall mid  air. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span>Once green flag  racing got underway,  constant side by side battles for the lead between veteran Jay Fogleman  and  series newcomer Andy Loden ensued. The two would take turns leading all  the  while opening a significant lead over Preston Peltier through the first  ninety-one laps. Meanwhile Justin Wakefield was chopping his way through  the  field with lap times faster than the leaders. Wakefield would make his  way all  the way up to battle a fading Jay Fogleman for second when the two  tangled,  <span> <\/span>sending a fast Wakefield spinning  and out of contention for the win.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span><span> <\/span>Wakefield\u2019s  spin bunched the field up,  giving all challengers a fair shot at leader Loden but no one came even  close to  the top spot. Loden and his Monroe Roadways race team earned their  second career  PASS South series victory just six days apart from their first. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span>The next PASS  South super late model  event is set for Saturday June 26<sup>th<\/sup> when the series makes  its\u2019 return  to the Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, NC for the Southern Sizzler  150.
