Sanborn will enter his own car in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 40-lap Pro Series feature at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday night, where he hopes to make it three wins in three starts this season.

WHO: Trevor Sanborn, Parsonsfield, Maine
TEAM: No. 44 Richard Moody Racing/Hancock Lumber/Subway Ford
BEST CAREER UNITY RACEWAY FINISH: 5th (October 2006
LAST RACE AT UNITY RACEWAY: 6th (June 2007)

WHAT: PASS North Series PASS 150
WHERE: Unity Raceway, Unity, Maine (.333-mile oval)
WHEN: 3 p.m., Sunday, June 20

PASS NORTH SERIES
LAST RACE: June 12, Speedway 660, Fredericton, New Brunswick (25th-place finish)
NEXT RACE: Saturday, July 3, Canaan Speedway, Canaan, N.H.
POINTS POSITION: 4th

****************

TREVOR, HOW DISAPPOINTING WAS LAST WEEKEND AT SPEEDWAY 660?

I knew we had a pretty good car, and I’m still wound up about what happened. We started out and we were really, really good. We were fast, and we had a top-3, if not a winning car. But we came to the yellow and everybody got checked up behind a lapped car and I ran into the back of Cassius (Clark). It messed up the duct work and we overheated.

I know everybody has their highs and lows in this sport, but it seems like I’ve had my fair share of lows.

ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT GOING TO UNITY RACEWAY THIS WEEKEND?

I can’t wait to go. (Crew chief Brian Burgess) said we have a good setup for that place, and we should have a good car. It’s a little rough there, but it’s a driver’s track. I’m excited about that.

There’s a lot of give and take at Unity, and you have to give more than you take. That’s just the way it is there. There’s not a lot of room, and you just have to survive until the end.

YOU MUST BE LOOKING FORWARD TO A RETURN TO BEECH RIDGE?

I am. Absolutely. I’m hoping to make it three in a row there. We’re going there to win — and hopefully that happens.
