{"id":559,"date":"2010-10-04T13:15:19","date_gmt":"2010-10-04T13:15:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/maineracer.com\/wp\/?p=559"},"modified":"2010-10-04T13:15:19","modified_gmt":"2010-10-04T13:15:19","slug":"three-pass-titles-still-up-for-grabs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maineracing.com\/legacy\/2010\/10\/three-pass-titles-still-up-for-grabs\/","title":{"rendered":"Three PASS titles still up for grabs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;\">NAPLES  ME 10\/2) The 2010 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) <span> <\/span>racing schedule is winding down, but  there are still three championships to be decided when the PASS South Super Late  Models and PASS Sportsman take to two different race tracks on Saturday October  16.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\" \/><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;\">In  New England the PASS Sportsman title is a three way battle between 2007 Champion  Dan McKeage, defending Sportsman champ Carey Martin and Mike Landry. The  standings were turned upside down on PASS 400 weekend at Beech Ridge when Landry  had all sorts of problems, eventually wrecking out of the 100 lap feature for a  20<sup>th<\/sup> place result. McKeage earned his first win of 2010 and Martin  came home in the show spot, vaulting the pair past Landry in the standings.<span> <\/span>McKeage has a fourteen point advantage  over Martin with Landry twenty four back.<br \/>\n<br \/><!--more--><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;\">The  title bout will add spice to Riverside Speedway\u2019s season finale that includes  qualifying races and a 75 lap feature for the PASS Sportsman,<span> <\/span>the Frostbite 250 four and six  cylinder Enduro and the crowning of Riverside\u2019s own Outlaw division champion.  <span> <\/span>Riverside Speedway is just off  Route 3 on Craggy Road in Groveton, New Hampshire. The action gets underway  Saturday October 16 at 1:00 PM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;\"><span> <\/span>A tick more than 1,000 miles south of  Groveton, Newport (TN) Speedway will be the setting for this year\u2019s Mason-Dixon  Meltdown. It\u2019s the PASS South finale, and the Championship battle is about as  tight as it gets between point leader Ryan Blaney and Preston Peltier. The pair  has fought tooth and nail all season long and after twelve events Blaney is in  front of Peltier by a scant four point margin. Blaney already has a 2010 Newport  win under his belt, and he will look for more of the same Saturday. But Peltier  will bring the battle to Blaney and<span> <\/span>his hard charging style guarantees an exciting season  finale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;\">The  Mason-Dixon Meltdown is the final round of the five race PASS National  Championship, a trail that has led from Florida to North Carolina, Connecticut  and Maine before the racers chasing that title head for the Volunteer state.  <span> <\/span>Preston Peltier is on top of the  National standings but 2010 PASS North super late model champion Johnny Clark is  only eleven points back, followed by two time Newport winner Jay Fogleman. Clark  has already indicated that he will make the trip to Newport to battle it out  with Peltier and Fogleman for the title.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;\">There\u2019s  an optional Mason-Dixon Meltdown practice session on Friday, October 15 from  12:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
