The race is run in honor of New Hampshire&#39;s chief<br \/>executive, the Honorable. John H. Lynch.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">This year&#39;s race will also be the first in a series of qualifying events for<br \/>the first annual &quot;ACT INVITATIONAL&quot; at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in<br \/>September. Over 40 cars have already entered.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Top name drivers in Late Model competition from throughout New England and<br \/>Canada have entered the event. Several local racers are expected to enter.<br \/>Many Lee race teams, all part of the tracks weekly NASCAR Whelen<br \/>All-American Series, have shown interest in the season inaugural.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">ACT Tour Championship contenders, five-time ACT Champion, Brian Hoar,<br \/>Vermont drivers John Donahue and Brent Dragon, three-time Thunder Road<br \/>champion Cris Michaud, and former ACT Thunder Road champion Phil Scott, have<br \/>entered the race.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Canadian hot shoe Donald Theetge has filed an entry as has Eddie MacDonald<br \/>who started his racing career at Lee. MacDonald is coming off a great 2008<br \/>season and was a strong force in last years Governors Cup.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Lee regulars Wayne Helliwell, Jr., Bryan Kruczek, and Jeremy Harclerode have<br \/>entered the two-day special.&nbsp; Also, expected are former Lee champions Ricky<br \/>Wolf, J.R. Baril, and Dean Weber.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Four other divisions will be a part of this year&#39;s opener. &#39;Open<br \/>Competition&quot; will be run<br \/>in the Hobby Stocks welcoming the Strictly Stocks, Roadrunners-Mini Stocks,<br \/>Late Model Sportsman, Superstreets.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The opening race for the small block supermodified division will be the<br \/>first event in a 14 race series. Dubbed the &quot;P.B.Chopper Shop and Rods Super<br \/>Series,&quot; the winged warriors will contest in a 25 lap feature.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Practice and qualifying races for support divisions will be run in Saturday<br \/>starting at 12 noon with feature races Sunday at 12 noon.
