This will allow fans to get their tickets early by calling the ACT office or picking up tickets at their nearest Northern Vermont Bond Auto Parts store, and also offers a $5 discount for purchasing the 2-day ticket before the date.<\/p>\n<p>All eyes are on the Northeast Late Model teams as the biggest stock car race in Vermont\u2019s history approaches. With no championship points at stake, a record $120,000 purse, and the final spot on the face of the Milk Bowl Champion\u2019s granite stone, teams are expected from all over the Northeast and Canadian region. \u201cThe Toughest Short Track Race in America\u201d is sure to please, but a 100-lap \u2018Reserve\u2019 Milkbowl offering an American Canadian Tour purse with $3,000 to win will be held for those who do not qualify. There will also be a Mini-Milk Bowl for Allen Lumber Street Stocks and Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen with extra money on the line. Undoubtedly the biggest racing event ever to occur in Vermont, Thunder Road has special events planned for the whole weekend.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The 50th Milk Bowl will leave no detail behind; a champion dinner, tent dances, bonfires, fireworks, and more will all be part of the celebration. A band, drill team, and bagpipes will all be on hand to celebrate 50 great years of Milk Bowls. The race will be a whole-weekend experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis certainly will be the biggest sporting event in the long history of Thunder Road,\u201d said longtime Promoter Tom Curley. \u201c50 years is a remarkable accomplishment, and we\u2019re going to make this memorable for both fans and race teams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>2-day adult tickets sold at the gate will be $35 for the weekend, but an advance sale ticket will be sold for $30. Advance sale tickets can be bought through the Thunder Road office by calling (802) 244-6963, or at Bond Locations in Barre (2 locations), Montpelier, South Barre, Essex, Burlington, Bethel, Lebanon, Hardwick, Morrisville, or Rutland.<\/p>\n<p>The 50th People\u2019s United Bank Milk Bowl will kickoff on the weekend of September 29th and 30th, with<\/p>\n<p>qualifying shows on Saturday, and features on Sunday.
