Johnny Clark and Gabe Brown set the stage for the upcoming Celebration of America 300 at Oxford Plains Speedway after successfully completing a demanding set of 50-lap qualifiers on Wednesday night.
In the first qualifier, Johnny Clark demonstrated impressive speed, leading all 50 laps from the start. Clark, who previously won the Oxford 250 in 2020, sought to recapture that form during this event, noting that the setup allowed him to start from the front row effectively.
Gabe Brown also secured a victory in the first session, leading wire-to-wire. Brown mentioned that recent shop changes and fine-tuning efforts were paying off, as he looked forward to the main event on Thursday.
The field saw other strong performances across both sessions. In the first qualifier, Corey Bubar finished second, followed by Joey Doiron, Jimmy Renfrew, Jr., and Garrett Hall. For the second session, Derek Griffith took second place, with Alexendre Tardif in third, Trevor Sanborn fourth, and Mike Hopkins fifth.
