EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – This weekend marks the return of the American Canadian Tour to Oxford Plains Speedway, and the 18-year old Emily Packard is eager to return to the track.  Earlier this season, Packard and her 9ME Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels car raced OPS for the first time, and the end results was a fourth place finish.  “I liked racing at Oxford, it’s a unique track and different than other tracks we run,” Packard said.  “It’s a low breaking track and it has really helped me to calm my breaking, so I can better attack the track.  I am definitely looking forward to returning to race there.”

Packard and the team understand that the Oxford Plains Speedway that they raced in April is a completely different track as they return in late June.  “I have no expectations as we head back to Oxford Plains Speedway,” said Packard.  “I would like to have a good solid run.  Hopefully we can get the car dialed in during practice and have a good heat race so we can start up front, and be able to contend at the end.”
