PACKED GRANDSTANDS PUT END TO WINTER AT WISCASSET SPEEDWAY

Opening day at Wiscasset Speedway. The reverberation of engines in the air, the scent of exhaust. The palpable excitement of both fans and drivers alike, as an end is finally put to winter and the cars hit the track once again.

Starting the racing action was a fifty lap Prostock feature. The #05 of James Osmond dominated the heat and started the feature at the pole. Osmond powered to the lead, and for over thirty laps led the pack. It looked like it was Osmond’s race to win. Behind him were the #01 of Andy Saunders and the #15 of Nick Hinkley.

Wyatt Alexander – The Fans at Wiscasset Speedway are some of the Best!

The 2015 race season at Wiscasset Speedway gets underway this weekend on Saturday, April 18th and, Wyatt Alexander of Ellsworth, Maine will be there in the #96 Pro-stock.

Over the winter months Wyatt has kept busy, “In the off season I have been focusing on my school work and playing some indoor soccer, and of course preparing the car for the 2015 season.”

There is a number of track in New England that Super Late Models race at, like Wiscasset Speedway, and Oxford Plains Speedway, as well as the two super late model touring series, Pro All Stars Series (PASS)and the Granite State Pro-Stock Series “Our plans are to try our hand at a few different tracks and series and learn as much as possible. I will be racing the Super Late Model full time and possibly a couple other divisions throughout the year.” read more…

Brianna Bodman, of Cushing, ME has working hard in the off season to get ready for the upcoming race seasons at Oxford Plains Speedway in the Cruisers Division, and at Wiscasset Speedway in the Enuro Division. “I’ve been working as a CNA 40+ hours a week to save up for this coming season.”

The Oxford Plains Speedway, 2015 race season for the Cruisers Div. begins Wednesday June, 10th and Wiscasset Speedway starts their Enduro race season May 9th. “I’m so ready for this season. I can’t wait. I plan on racing Wednesday nights at OPS and Saturday nights at Wiscasset and maybe a few Sundays at Unity.” read more…
