nhmspromoOn August 3,  2014 the North East Mini Stock Tour and its sponsors Texas Roadhouse, Twisted Tea, Froling Energy, and Weidner Services made history at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. For the first time in track history an entry level stock car division ran on the 1 mile NASCAR circuit. During the previous season the NEMST ran on a number of configurations along the NHMS Road Course and Mini-Oval within turns 1 and 2.  The Magic Mile was a completely different animal. Speeds were estimated to reach an astonishing 130MPH, faster than most of these cars have ever gone before, and set one of New England’s fastest growing tours on the largest track in the region.

It was a recipe for renowned success or epic disaster. Small production based 4-cylinder stock cars on a track quadruple the size of many drivers home tracks within New England. The event went off without a hitch as one caution for a stalled car on the back stretch was the only problem during the 25 lap main event. A first time winner was crowned as Justin Larsen beat out Toby Wells earning a cool $100 bounty bonus and many teams attended their first ever NEMST event. 36 cars from 7 states came to test their machines in the first running of the Magic Mile 25.
On July 5, 2015 the Magic Mile event is back for the 2nd consecutive season and bigger than ever. The payout has been increased to $1000 to win with over $6800 being given to the 43 car starting field. In addition to the large purse increase over $3000 worth of prizes have been offered to drivers finishing in the top positions including a set of Nitro Helmet Speakers from RH2Way.com for the winner.
Joining the NEMST for their first time on the Magic Mile will be the Pro All Stars Series super late models. The PASS tour will run a National Points event along the NEMST. PASS promoter Tom Mayberry and NEMST promoter Bob Guptill have set up this date to provide a high profile event on a day that many other tracks and series are off. “Working with the PASS tour has been great. I am excited to be able to share this day with them as their cars will rocket around the speedway. NHMS is a place everyone dreams to run at. The Super Late Models will surely have to add this date to their calendar” said NEMST promoter Bob Guptill.
On July 4, 2015 teams for both series will be able to park, unload, and tech their cars for the Sunday event. There will be a short practice period in the afternoon along with practice, qualifying, and features on Sunday. Pit prices and a full event schedule will be released shortly for teams to prepare their machines for this legendary event.
